“Delicious food and great customer service! The Best Japanese hibachi restaurant in the Region by far. Steak and shrimp with fried rice is my favorite! I can't get enough of their Fried rice. What a blessing to have this restaurant continuing to provide quality for so many years. Very much appreciated and a place I look forward to dining. There is no place like it! Thank you for creating such incredible food experiences Sai Gai Japanese Steakhouse and sushi bar!!!“

“This food is delicious and a large portion. Please support and keep this place open lol. Also let’s stop with the “authentic” stuff. It is Japanese-American cuisine and tailored to the regional culture. Fusion food is a big thing in America and should not be seen as a negative thing!“

“I'm very picky about my sushi and not local so I've been searching for a spot that's good and this place hit the mark! I've tried multiple places in Norfolk and they disguise their mediocre sushi with a bunch of sauces and too much rice on top of being poorly rolled. Here, I got the Yummy roll and salmon avo roll. I got huge ratio of salmon and the rice was perfect. The sushi was also rolled perfectly and didn't fall apart when picking it up. Great service from one of the ladies as well. She saw me using my phone and got me a phone stand. Also got me a cup of ice for my bottled soda without asking. Inside is clean but nothing fancy. Definitely a spot for lunch. They have also expanded their sushi menu it seems.“

“Simply a great sushi place.
Genuinely welcome vibe from the servers and staff.
Premium quality fish (sashimi cuts and hands rolls).
I went with Candy Cane roll, Hot Beach roll and red tuna sashimi. They were outstanding.
Restaurant has a lot of character on the inside and a very attentive staff.
It was a great experience all around.
I will happily return to Daiwa when in town again.“
