“I came from northern Virginia 3 hours away to visit Norfolk and we stopped by penguins in my opinion the mango flavor with mango pieces was the best combination out of everything.I recommend this place to everyone in Norfolk either live or visit penguins and they are way better than the slurpee at 7-11 cause they don’t have the natural fruit like penguins does.“

“Usually love this Rita’s, the staff is awesome and the owners are super sweet. Tonight we had a not so good experience. We showed up at 9:50, they close at 10. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come to the window, as we waited the staff made eye contact with us a few times before even acknowledging that we were there. They were cleaning up as they were about to close, all the machines were broken down. After someone finally came to the window, we were greeted with annoyed staff for us showing up 10 minutes before closing. I wouldn’t have written this review if someone would have said “ sorry but we have cleaned up shop and aren’t serving anymore tonight”. I would have been completely okay with it! The open sign was still on, so I’m not sure why there was a problem, I have family in town that are leaving tomorrow and they wanted to come to Rita’s one last time. Sorry for the inconvenience!“
