“Robert has never poured me a glass that I haven't enjoyed. I absolutely love Leek & Thistle. The sommelier, Robert, is so incredibly knowledgeable about wines and they carry a wonderful variety. If there is a special story behind the wine or region, he probably knows it. This is one of my favorite places to come on Friday afternoon after a long stressful week. The bar is so inviting, and it's also a great place for a private event. His wife is also a wonderful cook, and I rarely leave without taking home some soup or chicken salad for later, not to mention a bottle of wine. If you are a wine lover and looking for a nice, relaxing place to go where the service is personalized and the owners are super friendly, this is the place to go.“

“Small and intimate little cafe tucked away in a shopping center off Robious road. Lovely box lunch including a sandwich, side dish and a nice piece of cake all for $11. Many other options all the card too. Staff could not be nicer and food was served quickly.“

“Servers/waitresses Makyla and Cassidy were great. Door greeter should get the door for folks, especially older patrons. Pretty clean. Orderly, timely service. We waited for <3min on a Saturday lunchtime to be seated. The food was delicious. The breadsticks were not as fresh tasting as I would like.“

“I LOVE this place! I am a regular. The staff is so great. The woman that greets me up front is always so friendly and attentive. The food is good and it comes out fast. The lunch prices are great! You get a lot of food for a small price! I get in and out. I highly recommend the lunch bentos- I get the veggie tempura and my daughter the chicken katsu! Highly recommend!“

“I was very happy with my experience here! I ordered the chicken pho with dark meat & it was delicious, although i did feel the chicken portions could've been a bit better. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was solid. Definitely keeping this place in mind whenever my pho cravings kick in!“

“This is the best neighborhood bar and restaurant. Food is delicious, generous portions and great service. John O’Toole adds a special warmth when he is there with his smile and twinkle in his eye. It’s a welcoming, safe place for neighbors or anyone to enjoy. Love this place.Parking: There normally is more than enough parking for everyone. Certain occasions you might have to search a little harder.“

“Picked up dinner from here for some company we had over from Rhode Island. So easy to order online, ready at the estimated time, and all the food was so delicious!! We got the spring rolls, noodles of the drunk w/ chicken, pad see ew w/ tofu, chicken pho, and chicken pad Thai. All dishes were excellent! ?? Our guests from RI loved it!! Would totally recommend if you’re craving Thai food!“

“I’ve eaten here on and off over the past decade. Now that I moved to RVA permanently, it’s typically my go-to since I like to shop at Tan A for convenience. I feel like the food has declined some over the years and has less punch to the spices and sauces. The portions have gotten smaller but that’s pretty expected nowadays. I do see that there are less Asian people eating there so maybe that’s why the taste has changed… lol. Not a lot of other decent competition though, so I can’t complain too much since there’s no Eden center here.“

“Definitely for takeout, not for dining in. So far it’s had the best Chinese food of any restaurant I’ve tried in this area. The pork fried rice has the tasty chopped pork I expect to get instead of the little stringy brown pieces that many Chinese restaurants are using now. However, it lacked flavor. The beef with vegetables has very tender pieces of meat, and the vegetables taste very fresh. It’s very good, but needs a bit more brown sauce. The boneless barbecued pork has wonderful flavor but too many pieces with gristle, so I don’t recommend it. Overall, I’ve had two good experiences with Tings’s so far, and I will be ordering from them again.“

“First time I went here was in the evening with a couple friends. I honestly wasn’t impressed. The service was a pretty slow and felt unengaged. However, I gave it another try during lunch and had a great time. Norine is a ray of sunshine made human. Was a great lunch, good service and the food was tasty.Definitely worth a visit for a neighborhood friendly local bar.“

“Great and vary menu selections. The food is delicious with big portions. I had the lunch special: served with soup or egg roll, roast pork fried rice or white rice your choice. Which is available Monday through Sunday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Pricing is very reasonable, a good value for the money. So far the best take out Chinese food, I have eaten. I live in Brunswick County VA. I will be back whenever I'm in the area.“

“The food is absoLUTELY amazing! The expected stuff, yeah, but the mac and cheese is legit! Don't sleep on this place, people. First-timer and I ordered the combo plate (counting on love love at first bite) with pepper steak, jerk chicken, yellow rice, fried cabbage, and the most impressing piece, mac and cheese. You know how commercial mac and cheese tastes just that- bland, boxed, no love in its creation, mass produced and...commercial? Not this, Honies. BayBAY! This truly tastes homemade and made with love. Can't wait to make my next order...which will definitely include the mac and cheese ?Thank you, Sunriver Caribbean Cuisine for giving my palate a wonderful to RVA!!“

“We were visiting family in Richmond from Lynchburg and decided to stop in. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The Lynchburg one is as well but no where near Richmond's. The waitress was very nice and welcoming but we did have to ask for things that are the usual for olive garden ( Cheese on salad, soup, and meal. Refills. Boxes. Chocolates at end) The food was good but Lynchburg has the better quality pasta. This olive garden was very dry but the salad was amazing. The lady's who greeted us were very nice as well. This does not deter me from going again, just things I hope the manager can address. Other then that great visit will definitely be back :)“
