“Let me tell you! This might be my go to every time I come home to Portsmouth now!
I wanted to check out the casino and grab something to eat so we stopped in Yard House for the Poke Nachos. It happened to be happy hour and the bartender let me sample beer since I'm not a beer drinker. I really appreciated them letting me try before I buy!
We were seated in a booth and since it was Happy Hour, we ordered the poke nachos and brussel sprouts. Both were pretty good! Our waitress was getting trained, I think her name was TT. She was great! I would have never known she was new but her trainer was also amazing. Shot out to them two! I then ordered the beef bowl and my fiance ordered the wings. I really enjoyed the beef bowl but thought it was missing something so I added a light orangish sauce they had. I wish I remembered the name but it was bomb on top of the steak bowl. My fiance ordered the pepper wings and lemon pepper wings. They were both BOMB. Cooked to perfection and delicious flavor. The place was clean and had great views of the tvs every where! Happy Hour was half off appetizers until 6pm and the happy hour food was great options. You could eat a full dinner off the appetizer menu!“

“The food was absolutely divine! Im so glad we decided to try them out. The service was very fast, the waiter was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm, trendy, and exciting. The Jumbo Sea scallops were the biggest I've seen. My husband said it was the best steak hes had, and trust me, he eats a lot of steak! Oyster Rockefeller was mouth watering and the seasoning used on the broccolini was a different taste but very good! They definitely have some awesome cooks here!!“

“It feels weird to review the wheelhouse because it's such a cornerstone of the culture here. If you've been on base, someone has probably invited you to the wheelhouse - and for good reason. Inexpensive and delicious all-american fare with friendly fast service. Can't go wrong.“

“This is by far the best restuarant in Norfolk. Chef Ticha is a magician with food. The prawns were the best I have ever had in the USA. All the Food prepared and presented beautifully. I come here without exception when I’m in Norfolk. The bartenders are fabulous as well and create some fabulous cocktails.“

“I’ve eaten here now 5 times. Gone for an evening date, family gathering of 8, and a regular dinner for 4 out and about in town. They can accommodate anything. The food is excellent, creative and unique. Staff is nice and helpful, and hardworking. This is a staple for me. Parking on the street hasn’t been a problem but also garages are available or uber if you are enjoying the neat drink menu.“

“They go above and beyond: I joined my book club ladies for dinner last night at Press 626. I have some mobility issues and was advised to take the back steps upon arriving. I was well assisted up the stairs and taken to our table. The servers could not have been more pleasant. When it was time to leave one of the female employees assisted me down the front steps and to my waiting car. They made me feel very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you so much.“

“Another excellent meal at Omar's Carriage House. The pork belly fried rice had just enough heat to it but not so much as to overwhelm the flavor.“

“We had a dinner party for our kindergarten there and we’re very happy. I had originally made the reservation for the wrong day on accident and they easily accommodated the date fix. Communication was quick and easy. Love that they handle large parties and reservations. The food was super good! And the staff was patient, friendly, and very helpful. “Very disappointed. Use to eat @ Poppys twice weekly while working at shipyard. Moved to Fla two years ago. Back for short visit craving a great Poppy dog. Ordered two hotdogs all the way. . received a little swipe of mustard 4 bits of onion and a scarse bit of chilli.“

“I do enjoy and recommend Winston’s, but would like to also give a shout out to our waitress and cook working 10/18/25 around 11:30, and also a concern to one gentleman who showed up for work around then as well. I wish I had names, especially for the amazing waitress who served us (she was blond, I know that!). I came in with my daughter and elderly father who has dementia. Dad wanted an egg sandwich. We had already driven by some of the usual breakfast spots and naturally they were packed. I stopped because I had seen that sometimes Winston’s offers brunch, and learned that at least yesterday they did not. However the waitress checked with the kitchen, they had eggs, bread, and bacon and the cook graciously agreed to make my dad a sandwich. So very kind of them and very much appreciated!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! My daughter and I ordered regular menu items and while waiting for our meals a gentleman came in carrying some groceries. I guess he saw the cook making an egg sandwich when he entered the kitchen and proceeded to loudly berate both the waitress and cook, yelling about how, “We don’t f@ck!ng do breakfast, we don’t make eggs, it’s not on the menu, you have no right to make that f-ing guy eggs, all to what? Keep one f-ing customer?” I am paraphrasing, but not exaggerating at all - he was cursing them out, f-bombs and all, and it was quite easy to hear from where we sat, as the customers in question. I felt awful to have gotten the waitress in trouble, and hearing him treat staff this way as well as talking about paying customers this way put a bad taste in my mouth during what would and should have been an outstanding experience. So, a huge thank you to 2/3 of the staff I encountered yesterday. Food was great, service was great, but that one guy really needs to find some zen - and he could learn a thing or two from the rest of the staff regarding customer service.“

“About last night.....Our Tams Girls Funday Events Group had a great time at BusbysChill & Grill, Chesapeake, VA Chris Watts Rotonda Renae ShaQuida Beasley Alvoria Green Shaunte Redmond And my Beautiful Wife, Rosalyn Forrest!! This was our 1st time at Busby's for KARAOKE and it was a Blast!! This Guy's have good food, good service, the atmosphere was laid-back, chill, friendly and we love the DJ!! The other Singers like Kay we're great! My Wife Rosalyn loved the super clean nice bathroom. I loved how they accommodated us quickly pushing tables together with smiles ? and such willingness to welcome us!! “Ordered a 16 piece (just chicken) in advance and the food was ready for pickup at the requested time and hot. The chicken was tender and tasty, not over breaded or soggy. They are a well-known restaurant in the Hampton Roads area and awarded the best chicken in the area, which shows in the quality they provide. A little bit higher than the local grocery store, but worth the cost.“

“Best ribs I’ve ever had! They were a full huge rack, with such a great taste and just fall off the bone. Truly finger licking good. Not only that, they are quite the bargain at only $19. “I was having a good time until my check came and I was charged a extra drink . the server Amber was very rude , said she was the manager and instead of correcting her mistake and thinking on it , she was rude and dismissive. I had a $20 tip for her. but I wrote on my receipt that extra drink is your tip. Very bad server experience. some people just aren't worth the argument .“

“I went in with an open mind and my expectations were pleasantly met, the food was hot and had a good flavor.
My party stuck to apps since me and friends were going for a drink or 2 and just to socialise.
The mozzarella sticks were quite good, the wings were seasoned and had good notes of the garlic parm and lemon pepper.
The buffaloe bread dip was also worth ordering.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised we had someone that has celiac with us as well and we're able to find a gluten free option the steak bites without the sauce.“
