“Let me tell you! This might be my go to every time I come home to Portsmouth now!
I wanted to check out the casino and grab something to eat so we stopped in Yard House for the Poke Nachos. It happened to be happy hour and the bartender let me sample beer since I'm not a beer drinker. I really appreciated them letting me try before I buy!
We were seated in a booth and since it was Happy Hour, we ordered the poke nachos and brussel sprouts. Both were pretty good! Our waitress was getting trained, I think her name was TT. She was great! I would have never known she was new but her trainer was also amazing. Shot out to them two! I then ordered the beef bowl and my fiance ordered the wings. I really enjoyed the beef bowl but thought it was missing something so I added a light orangish sauce they had. I wish I remembered the name but it was bomb on top of the steak bowl. My fiance ordered the pepper wings and lemon pepper wings. They were both BOMB. Cooked to perfection and delicious flavor. The place was clean and had great views of the tvs every where! Happy Hour was half off appetizers until 6pm and the happy hour food was great options. You could eat a full dinner off the appetizer menu!“

“It feels weird to review the wheelhouse because it's such a cornerstone of the culture here. If you've been on base, someone has probably invited you to the wheelhouse - and for good reason. Inexpensive and delicious all-american fare with friendly fast service. Can't go wrong.“

“Admirals Steak and Seafood really impressed me. The food was amazing from start to finish, and the bread should honestly be illegal because it is that good. My dirty martini was perfectly made, and the ambiance set the tone for a great night. We ended up heading out to the patio to enjoy some live music, which was the perfect way to wrap up the evening. This spot has everything you want for a fun night out: great food, great drinks, and a great vibe.“

“Dinner at Glass Light was a spectacular, memorable experience. The food was all delicious, expertly prepared, and the menu was creative enough to be interesting, but familiar enough not to be intimidating. Service was awesome, delivered by a delightful, friendly professional waitress that knew the dishes well enough to give clear descriptions and personal recommendations. On top of all that, the surrounding glass artwork provided us with a beautiful and interesting environment. We will go back with friends to share the experience.“

“I’ve eaten here now 5 times. Gone for an evening date, family gathering of 8, and a regular dinner for 4 out and about in town. They can accommodate anything. The food is excellent, creative and unique. Staff is nice and helpful, and hardworking. This is a staple for me. Parking on the street hasn’t been a problem but also garages are available or uber if you are enjoying the neat drink menu.“

“Went there for a late dinner last Saturday during my family’s visit to Va Beach and loved it. The owner was very friendly and showed us how the self-pour worked and how to order food. The beer selection was plentiful and it was nice that there were wine choices (including sangria) for the non-beer drinkers in our party.
My BYO Burger, my wife’s chicken sandwich, my son’s Smokehouse Burger and Buffalo Chicken Dip were great!
The atmosphere was chill and being on the roof was perfect with the great weather of Labor Day weekend.“

“Gem. We had kimchi patty melt. Dumplings. Goat cheese. Everything was exquisite. I am a diner patty melt purist... I generally object to patty melts that are not the 70 year old recipe. The kimchi patty melt actually gave patty melt and PACKED with layers of flavors. (A touch sloppy) Dumplings were delicious and flavorful and goat cheese was so insta worthy but I failed to let phone eat first . We are in the hood and have eaten here multiple times... Always upscale first class. The vibe at the bar is super hip. We have never been able to sit here until tonight. We don't come here enough it is such a fab place with a great creative menu.“

“We had a dinner party for our kindergarten there and we’re very happy. I had originally made the reservation for the wrong day on accident and they easily accommodated the date fix. Communication was quick and easy. Love that they handle large parties and reservations. The food was super good! And the staff was patient, friendly, and very helpful. “About last night.....Our Tams Girls Funday Events Group had a great time at BusbysChill & Grill, Chesapeake, VA Chris Watts Rotonda Renae ShaQuida Beasley Alvoria Green Shaunte Redmond And my Beautiful Wife, Rosalyn Forrest!! This was our 1st time at Busby's for KARAOKE and it was a Blast!! This Guy's have good food, good service, the atmosphere was laid-back, chill, friendly and we love the DJ!! The other Singers like Kay we're great! My Wife Rosalyn loved the super clean nice bathroom. I loved how they accommodated us quickly pushing tables together with smiles ? and such willingness to welcome us!! Love you guys...and Thanks for the performers at ??? at Busbys Chill & Grill, Chesapeake, VA We were all Nervous with singing in front of a group but we did the damn thing??????????? “I got the mix liver/gizzard dinner and it’s really good. I like that they let you choose between soft and well done with the liver/gizzards. My friend got the 4pcs chicken dinner and she said the chicken was fresh and juicy. The baked beans were really good to me , they had a sweet smoky flavor.“

“Just left here. Showed up at around 6:30 with no reservation on a Friday. Had to wait a few to get seat at bar but no problem. So glad I waited to experience this place. They have a parking lot which is great. Vibe inside is lively but not overwhelming, upscale but not uppity, with food to rival their drinks. Bartender Joe was so busy but remained attentive and pleasant. Ordered the fried shrimp app, nachos and ahi tuna tacos. Usually I order ahi tacos at a place and get 2 tiny things. I got 4 which was super shocking. I spent $130 AFTER tip but I ain’t mad it was worth it. Drinks weren’t watery and weak, service was great, vibe was great with a good mix of people and food was well worth the money. Highly reccomend. Also their happy hour is also on Fridays which is unusual.“

“Best ribs I’ve ever had! They were a full huge rack, with such a great taste and just fall off the bone. Truly finger licking good. Not only that, they are quite the bargain at only $19. They have become quite a commodity amongst the locals so hope they don’t sell out. The best kept secret in Chesapeake, well secret no more. You’ve gotta come try them. You won’t be disappointed. “I was having a good time until my check came and I was charged a extra drink . the server Amber was very rude , said she was the manager and instead of correcting her mistake and thinking on it , she was rude and dismissive. I had a $20 tip for her. but I wrote on my receipt that extra drink is your tip. Very bad server experience. some people just aren't worth the argument .“

“TERRIBLE- WOULD NOT RECOMMEND we had a dinner party for our group tonight at 6..we had a set menu and our main course did not even arrive until almost 9:30 pm. Waiter mentioned how under staffed they were but that didn't make up for the horrible taste in food and when it did arrive how cold it was. Manager did nothing and we literally did not leave till 10. This on top of the horribly small portions we all had to share with appetizers (between a party of 14) and our actual entree sizes. Would not recommend at all.“

“We visited this restaurant primarily for their delicious desserts. They have a scrumptious coconut cake. I would advise not to visit an hour before closing as they secure the back area and they are stern about it. We had an active toddler that was walking around as we waited and a staff member approached us to remind us it was closed. We were not sitting, but the toddler neede to walk around a bit. This establishment is not kid friendly, as noted by a single high chair that needed to be wiped down.
The chicken is nice and crispy and the puffs are fluffy.
Stop by if you ever need to order a full cake they have been able to do this for me before.“

“We came across this place via google! Definitely didn’t disappoint, service was 100/10, food was a 6.5/10. Greeted upon entry, seated ourselves immediately! Food came out a little slow but it was piping hot. I do think the food could get a bit more Tender Love and Care but it wasn’t horrible. We had the Euphoria cocktail, steak bites app, seafood nachos app, chicken and broccoli pasta, she crab soup and the steak and cake dinner. Mash potatoes were a hit, but overall the food could use a lot more flavor.“
