“The staff was five stars amazing. This place was under minor construction, but as soon as we walked in we forgot. The atmosphere was great, music was great, seating was comfortable/cozy. The drinks and food were delicious. I don’t know why it took me so long to come in. I recommend catfish 10/10“
“Today is my Birthday and once the owner found out it was my birthday. He came over and personally sang Happy Birthday to me in (Steve wonder's version). He was as a servant-meaning he was there the serve and please. He wanted to make sure we had a great experience and we did. “Great atmosphere, great service. Food was somewhat hit or miss. Loved the fried green tomato's, loved my buscuit sandwich. The hasbrown tots were a miss for us, as were a few other items. All and all, we will be back, and enjoyed our visit.“
“Fantastic food. The tenders are juicy and fried dark. Love them cooked that way. The portions are huge. Great value for your money. The Cowabunga Fries can feed two hungry adults.Although you can dine in, it’s more of a carry out vibe to it.My only judgement would be that the menu is not very obvious as a newbie. I don’t want to ask the cashier to describe everything on the menu, but the names don’t exactly convey what they are. Maybe offer an expanded menu in person like there is online.“
“I dined there on the spur of the moment with my son recently. It was quickly obvious that this was a class operation. My expectations were high after enjoying the warm welcome by the staff and being offered two wines to sample.We started off with the James River oysters which were nestled in a bed of horseradish. Words can not describe how tasty they were.My son ordered the lamb chops and I ordered the Faroe Island salmon. Both entrees were exquisite. A complimentary dessert of bread pudding was provided.Chef Moats and the entire staff were on the top of their game. “The food you didn't know you needed. Who made the potato salad and the macaroni and cheese? IYKYK but idk but they certainly know what they are doing. This food is consistently good. They let me taste the potato salad and well you can judge for yourself from the pictures. Parking may have you fighting for a spot sometimes, especially on the weekends so take a friend so they can jump out and go in while you sit and wait. Definitely worth it. Service was great. Ambiance is nice. And they even have ice cream.“

“We’ve been here several times, and as usual, the atmosphere, service and food did not disappoint! We started out with smoked wings and fried pickles. The wings were flavorful, and the fried pickles were very tasty. We ordered the pork and catfish with green beans and jalapeño cornbread. We also ordered the Bang Bang shrimp with hush puppies. Our food looked good and tasted even better. Maddie was our server. It was a pleasure to make her acquaintance again! Always a wonderful experience when we go to the Fishin Pig!“
