“WOW WOW WOW. I have stumbled upon the BEST barbecue I have ever had. I enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork, Christmas beans, and smash & cheese (5 cheese) macaroni and cheese. Princess enjoyed the brisket. The meats were smoked to perfection. The sides were out of this world. The relish and sauces were superb. For my birthday they gave me a cupcake and hot off the smoker pork belly. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. Soul music was playing as me enjoyed my birthday lunch. “So my friend and I finally decided to give Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue a shot after hearing endless praise from our circle. We walked in and BAM the unmistakable aroma of smoked meat slapped me right in the face. No complaints though, because that smell? That’s the scent of happiness.

It’s a seat yourself kind of place, which gave us a few minutes to take in the laid back vibe before we dove into the menu and let me tell you, it’s extensive. But let’s be honest, I came for one thing and one thing only: ribs. The biggest, beefiest, most thicccccc rack they had to offer.

And sweet baby back Moses, those ribs did not disappoint. The flavor? Stupendous. The tenderness? Heavenly. I nearly called my mom mid-bite to tell her I found religion in rib form. Absolute 10/10.

Now, my only (tiny) note after finishing my rib induced enlightenment, my hands were coated in what I can only describe as “glorious BBQ aftermath.” A few wet wipes or hand sanitizer at the table would’ve saved me a trek to the bathroom. Not a dealbreaker, just a friendly PSA from a sauce covered customer.

In conclusion: I left full, happy, and slightly shiny from the grease. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I risk getting BBQ slapped again? Every single time.“

“I’ve been 5 times to Hot Pot 757 Midlothian and it never disappoints. Most recently celebrated my husband’s birthday! The staff was so very attentive, plenty of food to choose from and upon ordering food would arrive table side in moments of ordering. And if you let them know it’s a birthday, the robot will sing to the birthday person!“

“I really like this place and think it has so much potential. But I have to say the inconsistency in the food is starting to show, and it really comes down to who’s cooking on any given day. Sometimes the fried rice is perfect, and other times it’s mushy. Sometimes the chicken is perfectly seasoned, other times it’s really bland. When it’s good, it’s truly amazing and it’s one of the best hibachi to-go spots in Richmond. But these last couple of times, it’s been a letdown.

I’m leaving this review because I really want to see the place succeed and step it up a notch with more consistent training for the cooks. It’s got the potential to be a standout spot if the quality becomes more reliable. Right now, if they keep pushing out inconsistent dishes, they risk just blending into the background like any other place. I’m rooting for them to get it right!“

There, the server would explain everything to you beforehand -- important if you are bringing guests who haven't dined here before. At the Broad Street location, I asked the server to explain how the meal works, and all he said was that it's all you can eat. Not helpful to new customers like our friends. Also, a different employee kept interrupting us to change the BBQ burner, even when it was still cooking food. We asked her to come back to change the burner, but she did not understand English. This happened 5 times. Fortunately, however, the food was excellent.“

“Longhorn is my favorite steakhouse Periodt! I really enjoy the service every time I visit. My preferred order is the Outlaw Ribeye steak cooked medium rare, with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. The only reason I’m giving this review a 4 star is because my steak had a lot more fat than I expected. I will most definitely revisit and highly recommend“
