“We ordered the goat curry over yellow rice and steamed cabbage via door dash. The goat was really tender and the ratio of gravy to rice was on point. The goat, gravy and rice were all well seasoned. The cabbage was high blood pressure salty. The ancestors must have gotten distracted and forgot to say enough. And the cabbage was more fried (greasy) than steamed. The yellow rice was also a bit greasy but delicious. Portion sized to eat a few meals off one dinner. We will definitely be eating there again.“

“I’m not even gonna lie… Mum’s Kitchen was SO good.
The food? Baby… seasoned right, hot, fresh, and just hitting on everything. Like you can tell it’s made with love, not rushed or thrown together.
And the vibe in there is just good energy. It felt welcoming the second we walked in, not awkward or dry like some places be.
But what really did it for me was the service. The two ladies we met were sooo sweet and genuine. Not fake nice—like real, good people. That alone will make me come back.
If you in Richmond and want some REAL Jamaican food with good vibes and people that treat you right, go here. Period. I’ll definitely be back.“

“The fried fish traditional jollif rice and vegetable medley was so good. Kullah was so friendly and cool and she made me a special juice drink that was delicious!“
“Great stuff! They used to have another cart further south near the Suntrust building that I loved. There are daily specials and complimentary drinks with the purchase of a meal. If you'd like, you can also get it quite spicy here with the addition of some scotch bonnet hot sauce. Oddly, truly spicy Jamaican isn't always available in the downtown area.“

“a place I think called popular for me because I see every morning people coming to buy, every minute, and the food is very good has many varieties that you can choose what you want, It's like a mini buffet, and you can pay in cash without paying taxes“

“Without a doubt, this is my favorite Dominican restaurant in Richmond that surpasses all others! The food is undoubtedly a perfect 10/10, though the service could benefit from individuals with customer service experience and strong English proficiency.Unfortunately, the ambiance is lacking. My suggestion is for them to consider engaging a small marketing company or a food influencer to enhance the promotion of their delectable food. Though it lacks presentation and modern-day style trends, it is undeniably delicious and worthy of attention.I highly recommend this place!!!“

“Amazing value, some of the best jamaican patties I've ever had.
Their jerk isn't too spicy at all relative to some I've had, and it was absolutely delicious. Chicken was falling off the bone it was so tender and perfectly cooked.
Haven't got to try their oxtail or snapper but that's next up.
Highly recommend, awesome spot.“

“Good portions, didn’t like that the menu had no prices. I liked the atmosphere at the other store. More tropical. New store kinda cold.“
