MUMS Kitchen Reviews
Went for lunch today and had the worst plate from them. All of the food was cold, rice & beans, oxtails and plantains. The rice seemed old. Never had this
The food here is okay and the portion sizes I like for the prices they offer. However everything on the menu isn’t always available. Most importantly, they need to work on their customer service. I wasnt greeted nor even told thank you. Just stared at me until I spoke and did all of this with no smile. All 3 people. Sorry to bother you??? Not sure if I will be back because this isn’t the first time. I would’ve scored higher but here we are.
First time eating here & I enjoyed it

MUMS Kitchen offers authentic Jamaican cuisine in Richmond, according to reviews. The restaurant is praised for its best authentic Jamaican food, especially dishes like curry goat, oxtail with rice and peas, and jerk chicken, which many customers find delicious and satisfying. Serving sizes are generous, often enough for multiple meals, and the prices are considered good value. The food is described as making customers feel good, with some noting that the coco bread is like eating a pillow made out of dreams. While the setup might feel a little chaotic with TVs blaring different shows, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Some reviews mention the food being flavorful and well-spiced, although a few found some dishes, like plantains and curry chicken, to be bland or stale. Overall, the restaurant is appreciated for its authentic flavors and hearty portions, making it a favorite spot for Jamaican cuisine in RVA.
