“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! Go now!“

“I've been happily stopping at Hunan East, nearly every Saturday, to fill up a take-out tray from their buffet, which has many healthful options, with stir-fried meat and vegetables, all cooked just enough. I get enough food for 4 meals, for the price of two, and that's with a tip (just my choice, not expected, and I serve myself).“

“My daughter and I stopped here for lunch, and it was amazing! We finally found some delicious dim sum with great portion sizes and excellent customer service. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back for more. There's a lot of variety, and I especially love that they offer roasted pork, duck, and chicken!“

“Super clean inside, staff is really nice, food is fantastic! Nice big servings, well packaged, prepared fresh and tasted amazing! Will definitely order again!
I got the shrimp toast, egg drop soup, curry chicken and beef in garlic sauce (garlic sauce was a little sweet, as I think its supposed to be).
Absolutely the very best curry chicken I've ever had!
Yummy!“

“My favorite little Chinese food spot in the area. The lady in the front is patient while we order. As well as a guy that answer the phone when i place my order. I didn't feel rushed or anything. The food is always good and fresh, not to mention made quickly. I'd recommend.“

“The food is AMAZING. The eggrolls were missing from my doordash delivery, and I called and he was ready to use his resources to make sure I got them and I heard the woman telling him she was sure they were in the order since she cooked them to order. I placed a second order the next day and he included the eggrolls with that order. The food is so good, and the customer service is seriously on point as well. On the rare occations that I do order food, this will 100% be my go to, the singapore curry noodles are out of this world (and I am not usually a fan of curry). I very highly recommend!“

“I’m biased, I used to work for Tina. Yeah she can be rude. But she also gave me and my friends decent jobs, celebrated Chinese new year with us, and let my Dad hang out at the restaurant when I worked on holidays. I’ve dealt with ruder restaurants in NYC for double the price. The food is good. She’s usually overwhelmed with orders when it’s busy and English isn’t her first language. If you want to avoid any issue when you order just say it how it’s listed and don’t ask specifics or changes. “Mock Ham Lo Mein Extra Spicy” and say “that’s it.” If you’re looking for a bespoke experience this ain’t it. Hungry and want a a lot of Chinese take-out with a bunch of vegan options? This is the spot.“

“Tonight we had the pleasure of having a waitress named Nik. She was attentive, communicative and warm. She made sure our refills were well timed, checked in after she dropped off anything to our table to ensure the quality was up to par, and overall had a very warm demeanor. We did however have the displeasure of having the veggie spring rolls which were soggy, flavorless, and better suited for a gas station heat lamp. The Changs spicy chicken was okay if you like your chicken sweet instead of spicy. Would return for the service alone, but absolutely will not be ordering those dishes again.
Dietary restrictions: Server will ask about allergies, many gluten free and vegetarian options,“

“Best Chinese around, especially for vegetarians! The mock items are amazing and this is the only quick ready Chinese place that doesn't make me feel like a ball of grease after eating
Vegetarian options: The mock items are great, variable texture and taste depending on the dish“

“Excellent. Each crab Rangoon has me over the moon to the tune of the delicious Rangoon filling. The doughnuts are perfect pampered pillows, each lovingly primped with sugar, every orb a galaxy of the miraculous class of reaction known as maillard.“

“That was some of the best lo mein and chicken and broccoli I’ve had. My boyfriend goes here and got us dinner. I’m glad he did. We ate it all. He loves the chicken wings and fried rice. It was just $23 and was still really good. Egg roll was good too.“

“Excellent hole in the wall takeout spot with amazing food. I drive by all the time and finally decided to stop in. It smells so good in there! I ordered a pu pu platter and was pretty happy with it. It had:
Spare ribs - not overly saucy and excellent flavor and tenderness
Rangoon - these are savory but not a strong flavor. Plenty of filling. No sauce to dip in though
Jumbo fried shrimp - Nowhere on my side of town has this! These are huge shrimp fried in a fluffy batter. So. Good.
Pork egg rolls - These were good! They definitely tasted vegetable-y to me.
Steak on a stick - 10/10. Great flavor, tender, and not like a 3 inch strip. You got a good size
Chicken wings - These are full sized chicken wings (all three sections). Amazing crunchy exterior and the meat was well seasoned
I appreciate the use of plastic containers as well. I can't stand getting takeout in melted Styrofoam boxes. They stuffed as much as they could in my takeout container and put the eggrolls in a classic paper sleeve on the side.
There were two of everything. $17.11 after tax and before tip for it.
The woman who took my order was super friendly. She's the only person I saw but I heard her talking to someone else. She made sure I remembered a paper menu on my way out!
I'll definitely be back!“

“Preface: If I ever "look" for somewhere quick to eat, it will be Chinese, and I always order Orange chicken. Some places it's good, others... meh.Lunch break? Of course I'll try a new Chinese take out. I received a pleasant greeting and proceeded with the standard process: order... 10 minutes later food is in hand and I'm whistling back to the truck. Took a short drive to Tuckahoe Creek Boardwalk to relax with scenery.Dragon City Orange chicken is phenomenal!I asked for exxtra spicy and the chef sliced the chilies before tossing em in the mix. Not too sugary, and plenty of orange rinds. Pork fried rice was delicious, fresh and juicy pieces of pork, not some crispy bacon bits. I forgot to ask them to add an egg to the rice, but I can't spoil myself too much.Satisfaction accomplished, thank you!Photo taken down the road at Tuckahoe Creek Boardwalk, check it out!“

“This is a pleasant surprise… My wife and I are new to the area (6 Months) and over the past few months we have been in town have been trying places to compare to our classic back home “American style Chinese” favorites. This was a great meal. We called, placed to go, and drove 9 minutes to pick up our “ready in 15” order. When I walked in the man working the counter was bringing that all to familiar brown paper bag from the back. Just our luck it was my order, we had a great quick conversation and I headed on my way. Now, for the food, that’s what matters because after all this is not a sit down style place, so ignore those negative atmosphere reviews…
The order was $52 for crab Rangoon, steamed pork dumplings (real dumps, not someone trying to pass Goyza off as a dumpling!) and 2 warm fresh egg rolls. The mains were General tso’ chicken and a happy family. One order white and one order fried rice. All were a great balance of flavor, meat, vegetables and sauce. We are extremely pleased with the overall experience and I recommend anyone looking for a quick filling meal show this spot some support.
If you want a full sit down with a perfect designed interior and a wait staff, go to Shortpump and pay for it.
Enjoy!“

“What a lovely restaurant! The food here is super tasty, and the welcome is warm.
I had the triple delight, which consists of beef, chicken and shrimp served in a beautifully seasoned sauce. It was so tasty! Mrs. H had a super tasty lo mein.
The ambience is worthy of a "Saturday night out" and there is a good choice of alcohol.
I am 100% happy to recommend this wonderful Chinese restaurant.“

“Little local out of the way place. With great prices and TONS of food. I don't expect great customer service, they're in there getting it done with the food and that's how you know it's a good place. I wish I could go extra spicy, but I also haven't asked if it's an option!
Have been probably 4 or 5 times now and my meal has always been fantastic.“

“WOW. Best little spot for quality Chinese food. There isn’t a dish i have not had. The fried chicken is finger licking, the sesame chicken is always flavorful and The Singapore Mei Fun is top tier. I’ve had other restaurants leave the tails on the shrimp, not Lung Wah. They offer delicious meals for reasonable prices and incredibly fast service. The staff is friendly and they provide any and all of the condiments you may desire (i strongly recommend the hot sauce). If you’re on the fence about trying this gem, take a leap and try it.“

“Great standard Chinese food for great prices. Good portions, especially with the dinner combo. Make sure to order on their website (mealage) for the best prices. “I love Ming’s! We go here any and every time we want Chinese food. It’s priced right and taste like authenticity. Funky hours of operation but this is our go-to for fried rice, lo mein, and sweet & sour chicken. Love the guys working in the back! Every time I walk in they greet me even when their phones are ringing off the hook for DoorDash.“

“Definitely for takeout, not for dining in. So far it’s had the best Chinese food of any restaurant I’ve tried in this area. The pork fried rice has the tasty chopped pork I expect to get instead of the little stringy brown pieces that many Chinese restaurants are using now. However, it lacked flavor. The beef with vegetables has very tender pieces of meat, and the vegetables taste very fresh. It’s very good, but needs a bit more brown sauce. The boneless barbecued pork has wonderful flavor but too many pieces with gristle, so I don’t recommend it. Overall, I’ve had two good experiences with Tings’s so far, and I will be ordering from them again.“

“It's a little ugly and I hate the look of their wall of protection. Decent amount of food for the cost. I got the egg drop soup with dumplings. Decent ingredients but they flavor it for white people (I am one). Add some heat! Don't know if you can ask for it spicy or just have to add packets of sauces yourself. I would prefer the first choice. Uncle Roger would have some naughty words to say about the lack of seasoning.“

“The humble setting doesn't tell you what delights are cooked in the kitchen. We ordered out and the food was ready upon arrival. For 5 people we ordered 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. It was more than enough. Spicy dishes were well-seasoned, veggies were hot and crispy, and each dish was distinct.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Perhaps it was the owner who carried part of my order with me to a parking lot! We paid $90 for dinner for 5...
And we had leftovers. We will definitely go back.“

“This is my fast and quality go to for takeout Chinese. Fairly typical menu, lunch and combo specials, but with a few Thai options, as well. I have enjoyed their food dozens of times and they were a staple of mine during the craziness of 2020. It is take out only. Just a heads up. Highlights include, dumplings, hot and sour soup, moo shu, pad Thai, and orange chicken. Get your fav and enjoy the huge portions and good value. Local Family owned and operated.“

“I've from North Jersey, 10 min from NYC and let me tell you I know great Chinese. I've been here 8 years and thought I had a good Chinese place near me off forest Hill but after trying Eat Rice, let me just say I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Best Chinese in Richmond. Always mobbed with people line out the door. Shrimp egg food young with pork fried rice and Egg roll. Trust me get it.“

“Peter changs is the most authentic Chinese restaurant that I know of. a close second would be Full Kee on horsepin off of broad. but P.Cheng's is a combo of traditional grandma like made hot pots with a twist of today to some beautifully created food art type appatisers. the scallion bubble packed is a delightfully fun munch. we ordered peking duck for take-out tonight. my husband will drive across town to get it as we are in Midlothian. the online order menue is not working. the price listed is 35.00. However the menue will not allow me to even register or order. I called we were told the price of the dish is 65.00$$$! we have pking duck 1/yr on NYE and it's my favorite Chinese Dish . so we bit the bullet and ordered. when we asked about the price difference we were told something that y'all should know.... we were told ...oh. we rais our prices around Christmas! Well thanx PETER CHANG. This better be the Best pking duck I could even imagine. This is what you think of your customers SMH.. I'm not sure that I will continue dinning with you in the future. what a shame. such good food and during the Christmas season most places offer something special to show appreciation to their patrons. But your establishments behavior reminds me od a certain Character in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. lol interesting that the Walt Disney version of this story Scrooge I'd played by a Duck... 😆😅🤣😂 I'll report back after my husband returns with this golden dinner.“

“I recently ordered the firat time here and got the scallop meal from How Wah Chinese Restaurant, and while the scallops were absolutely amazing perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I was a bit disappointed that the fries were missing from my order. The portion size also felt more like a kid’s meal than a full entrée. That said, the quality of the scallops really stood out, so I’m willing to give them another try and hope for a better experience next time.“

“I've been to, and reviewed dozens of Chinese-shops and found that they all lacked in one area or another, bringing their overall total score to an all-new high with Fu Wah, 5-stars is all I can give for perfect rice, egg-roll (unlike any other restaurant), crab-rangoon (with the cream-cheese portion-size being absolutely top-notch), General Tso's (which is by far the most revealing reason to come-back here)! For the first time, I have not had a headache from dehydration thanks to the excellent quality food-service Fu Wah has provided!Thank you, thank you, and THANK YOU!“

“First time trying this place. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were excellent! The shrimp egg foo yung was great. The spare ribs were good, but could use additional sauce. The orange chicken was ok. The shrimp fried rice was very bland, containing only rice and onion. The teriyaki chicken was strange: the sauce was dried and crunchy, and the chicken was very stringy. It tasted ok, just very different from my perception of teriyaki chicken. The service was quick and the staff were courteous. Next time, we will try other dishes.“

“I've been eating here for years and years. Best chicken wings of anywhere. Friendly people, good food, close to home! I couldn't ask for more!
Well, things change including (I think) ownership and/or cooks. I hadn’t been in for several years, so I went in for some comfort food. One of items I got, the egg drop soup, tasted of sesame oil so strongly it was actually unpleasant. I was so disappointed.“
