“Went to Chen's for lunch today and the food was excellent as usual. Haven't been in years as I live in Chesterfield, but while working in Innsbrook ordered from there for years. It was nice to be greeted warmly, service was prompt and attentive and my Moo Shu Pork was a walk down memory lane. Delicious. Will definitely go again soon.“

However the menue will not allow me to even register or order. “After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.“

Dumplings were a family recipe that tasted amazing and the food itself has its own unique personality and character because of its long standing history. I would come far to have this food again. It wasn't a huge deal (especially the first time - just missing an egg roll) but today we were missing 2 egg rolls. “This is a pleasant surprise… My wife and I are new to the area (6 Months) and over the past few months we have been in town have been trying places to compare to our classic back home “American style Chinese” favorites. This was a great meal. We called, placed to go, and drove 9 minutes to pick up our “ready in 15” order. When I walked in the man working the counter was bringing that all to familiar brown paper bag from the back. Just our luck it was my order, we had a great quick conversation and I headed on my way. Now, for the food, that’s what matters because after all this is not a sit down style place, so ignore those negative atmosphere reviews…

The order was $52 for crab Rangoon, steamed pork dumplings (real dumps, not someone trying to pass Goyza off as a dumpling!) and 2 warm fresh egg rolls. The mains were General tso’ chicken and a happy family. One order white and one order fried rice. All were a great balance of flavor, meat, vegetables and sauce. We are extremely pleased with the overall experience and I recommend anyone looking for a quick filling meal show this spot some support.

If you want a full sit down with a perfect designed interior and a wait staff, go to Shortpump and pay for it.

“I love this new spot! Sky gives the most authentic and warm welcome not just to me but to everyone who stop by. He is patient, and recommends all top dishes. I ordered togo, the portion size was HUGE!!!! I got some chicken egg rolls, Singapore noodles, General sauce chicken and pork fried rice. Everything was perfect. From the curry flavor in the noodles and the chicken being moist and juicy, it was all worth it. If you are looking to try a new Chinese spot, give this a try for sure!“

“Living South of the river, I was pleasantly reminded about China Panda via the Sons of China Panda pop up this week. This morning, I got the egg tart, peanut silken tofu and mochi cake. I'm saving the egg tart and mochi cake for an after school treat sampling. The silken tofu that he said his Mom was up making overnight was simple, delicious, and a much more favorable breakfast than the typical simple carb or saturated fat laden fare common in our American diets and reflected in the offerings by local businesses. I think they would do rather well and wish I'd stopped by [on time] for more of their offerings this week. Hopefully, they will return soon! I'll also make a point to stop by China Panda for lunch in the near future.“

“This is my favorite Chinese takeout place. I really like that they offer small or large portions of most things. They always see my note requesting to leave out the mushrooms. I also really like that many dishes still come in the white cardboard boxes instead of all plastic containers. We order direct from them and they always deliver in a reasonable time. I do not recommend the peanut noodles though. They are like spaghetti with peanut butter mixed in. Everything else we've tried has been really good. I like the cashew chicken, general tso's tofu, the egg rolls, egg drop soup, and the pork lo mein.“
