“The take out is super good. I live in NJ and go to Va. very often. Being near NYC I know Chinese food. This is excellent. Fresh and truely yummy and great value for the price. On top of all that the service is great and super friendly. They smile and are very nice and that alone makes me come back often. Inside is not beautiful to eat in but for take out it is the best in Richmond and I am a picky eater. Five stars for sure. Go and see, it is super.“

“Today I came for the third time to this restaurant, I like to order sweet and sour because the sauce is perfect, today I ordered sweet and sour pork and it was delicious.

The girl who helped me was very friendly and the waiting time was exactly what she indicated. As for the atmosphere, I think they should fix it up a little so that it doesn't look like a restaurant that is about to close, but the food is excellent, my order today was very well seasoned and not at all tasteless like others places.

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “Tonight we had the pleasure of having a waitress named Nik. She was attentive, communicative and warm. She made sure our refills were well timed, checked in after she dropped off anything to our table to ensure the quality was up to par, and overall had a very warm demeanor. We did however have the displeasure of having the veggie spring rolls which were soggy, flavorless, and better suited for a gas station heat lamp. The Changs spicy chicken was okay if you like your chicken sweet instead of spicy. Would return for the service alone, but absolutely will not be ordering those dishes again.

I’ve dealt with ruder restaurants in NYC for double the price. The food is good. She’s usually overwhelmed with orders when it’s busy and English isn’t her first language. If you want to avoid any issue when you order just say it how it’s listed and don’t ask specifics or changes. “Mock Ham Lo Mein Extra Spicy” and say “that’s it.” If you’re looking for a bespoke experience this ain’t it. The eggrolls were missing from my doordash delivery, and I called and he was ready to use his resources to make sure I got them and I heard the woman telling him she was sure they were in the order since she cooked them to order. I placed a second order the next day and he included the eggrolls with that order. The food is so good, and the customer service is seriously on point as well. On the rare occations that I do order food, this will 100% be my go to, the singapore curry noodles are out of this world (and I am not usually a fan of curry). I very highly recommend!“

I’ve had other restaurants leave the tails on the shrimp, not Lung Wah. They offer delicious meals for reasonable prices and incredibly fast service. “Be careful with this place. The staff is friendly. The food is the best Chinese around (in my opinion). On the other hand, when they give you a price and you go to pay that price in cash, they up charge you more. Sometimes it’s a few cents more. Then there are times when I was uncharged a dollar or 2 more. When confronted, they will say: oh, so sorry. I made a mistake. Nah bruh…you tried to beat me in the head.

If they beat me in the head for a few cents, just imagine how many other customers they do this to. Just be mindful and check your receipts.“

The pork fried rice has the tasty chopped pork I expect to get instead of the little stringy brown pieces that many Chinese restaurants are using now. However, it lacked flavor. The beef with vegetables has very tender pieces of meat, and the vegetables taste very fresh. It’s very good, but needs a bit more brown sauce. The boneless barbecued pork has wonderful flavor but too many pieces with gristle, so I don’t recommend it. Overall, I’ve had two good experiences with Tings’s so far, and I will be ordering from them again.“

“It's a little ugly and I hate the look of their wall of protection. Decent amount of food for the cost. I got the egg drop soup with dumplings. Decent ingredients but they flavor it for white people (I am one). Add some heat! Don't know if you can ask for it spicy or just have to add packets of sauces yourself. I would prefer the first choice. Uncle Roger would have some naughty words to say about the lack of seasoning.“

“Went during a weekday lunch, very pretty decor and quiet atmosphere. Full drink menu was available, not just beer and wine. Started off with a hot and sour soup appetizer, which was flavorful and full of ingredients. For an entrée I ordered the happy family- beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops in brown sauce, with a side of fried rice. A huge heaping portion that I couldn't finish all of, and super delicious. The only two knocks for the meal were the rice- it wasn't exactly fried and just tasted like white rice that had been tossed in soy sauce or something? Still tasted fine, just wasn't really fried. The other thing being one of the scallops in the meal wasn't properly cleaned so it had gritty sand/ pebbles or something attached to it still. No big deal, it didn't ruin the rest of the food, I just avoided eating that one. It happens.My server was super attentive and sweet, food and drinks both came out quickly. Overall a great dining experience.“

That in itself is enough for me to five star this place, but really it was the insane quality of work I saw being pushed out in that kitchen. I arrived to pick up my food right at the appointed pick up time and it was clear from the moment I walked in that they were slammed (prime dinner time on a holiday). He said five more minutes and so I just sat with the other customers and waited. They were HUSTLING to get all of this food out. It was exactly five minutes that I waited… truly no harm done. The man at the counter apologized three times for the wait. When I got home, I discovered there were spring rolls that we never even ordered thrown in with our egg rolls to make up for waiting. “Peter changs is the most authentic Chinese restaurant that I know of. a close second would be Full Kee on horsepin off of broad. but P.Cheng's is a combo of traditional grandma like made hot pots with a twist of today to some beautifully created food art type appatisers. the scallion bubble packed is a delightfully fun munch. we ordered peking duck for take-out tonight. my husband will drive across town to get it as we are in Midlothian. the online order menue is not working. the price listed is 35.00. However the menue will not allow me to even register or order. I called we were told the price of the dish is 65.00$$$! we have pking duck 1/yr on NYE and it's my favorite Chinese Dish . so we bit the bullet and ordered. when we asked about the price difference we were told something that y'all should know.... we were told ...oh. we rais our prices around Christmas! Well thanx PETER CHANG. This better be the Best pking duck I could even imagine. This is what you think of your customers SMH.. I'm not sure that I will continue dinning with you in the future. what a shame. such good food and during the Christmas season most places offer something special to show appreciation to their patrons.
