“This is the kind of place you’d find in a bigger city! There are very few other restaurants in Roanoke at this caliber. Top 3 in the area for sure. Definitely recommend calling in for a reservation ahead of time - they don’t have long hours and fill up quickly. Cocktails are creative, and typically on point. I absolutely LOVE their Chicken Liver Mousse and my husband said the Oyster Rockefeller some of the best he’s ever had. The small plates are alright, but the entrees and dessert definitely don’t disappoint!! Love the cozy, intimate vibe - great for special occasions and date nights ❤️“
“Why go to Starbucks? This is a great local place for coffee and food. The staff were charming, professional and friendly.The coffees were what we needed and the egg and bacon burrito was exactly right and delicious.We were in a hurry so got our order to go, but reluctantly because the place itself is so welcoming. Next time we’ll take the time to sit by the fire.“
“It's been a while since I last visited this little gem. I was finishing up an evening walk and had worked up a healthy appetite. Rounding the corner to Memorial Ave, I walked by the front window and locked eyes with Steve, the owner. The thought instantly hit that I needed an Alpine grilled cheese and a lemonade to cap off my day. It was a great meal and getting to see Steve is always a pleasure. Pop's always makes my belly happy!“
“You will find no better cake in Roanoke than Evie’s coconut cake. We get it for all of our special occasions and have even frozen quarters of the nine inch to eat months later, tasting just as good as the day we bought it. We are moving soon and will be so sad to leave this cake!“

The fish quality was remarkable; portions were large; I really liked the temperature of the fish; it was fresh but not cold or barely unfrozen.
