“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! “After a 10 hour car ride we were looking for a place to eat, and franks was one of three options open. Safe to say it did not disappoint! The pizza was really good, and the staff was extremely friendly! We came in about half an hour to closing, and they were kind enough to put in some drinks and two pizzas for us! “Mama Maria's is now our favorite Salem Restaurant. We were gone from this area for over 22 years and recently moved back here after retiring. I have tried a lot of Italian Restaurants, but none of them match up to this one (except maybe one in NY). Since we re-found this, we have returned at least once per week since our return. Everything is freshly made and delicious. The red sauce (or gravy) is the real thing. The flavor is perfect. It is not spaghetti and meatballs. Portions are large enough to share, salads are fresh, bread comes prior to meal with 3 dipping oils which require finishing, (bread is homemade and melts in your mouth). Senior meals for people old like me are perfect size and generous, they come with choice of side salad or soup. If you happen to be there on crab bisque day...do not miss it!!! Atmosphere is clean and not crowded, Service is efficient and friendly, and it is a great value for your money!“

“I did lunch take out. The food was ok. Baked spaghetti was alright. I was underwhelmed by the steak and cheese. I guess I expected more from an Italian restaurant. However, those chips they served with the sandwiches, so so good. Im not really a chips person, but with these ones, ate every crumble“

“I was expecting the meal to be good, but not THAT good. Everything was outstanding. The chili crisp burrata was a must-get appetizer as well as the roasted olives which were so warm and buttery… chefs kiss. Both pasta dishes we got were perfectly cooked, brilliantly flavored, and proportioned beautifully.
Also a huge shoutout to the bar for having $5 mocktails! The bartenders made me the most delicious mocktail I may have ever had.“

“Food and service for takeout are terrific. Phone orders are very efficient and polite. In all the years I've been going there (more than twenty years) they have only made one mistake with my order and left out a house salad. The only drawback is that, like every other place in town, their prices have risen considerably in recent years. Our favorites are the round pizza, calzone, the grilled chicken salad and sicilian pizza. It was transferred to another part of the family when Terry and her husband retired about six months ago and there has been no change in service or quality.“

“Had a long day at the office and was craving a creamy ceaser salad and some firm breadsticks, and well let’s just say after a wonderful customer service experience with their waiter Daniel, I was craving another kind of breadstick if you know what I mean. Whooo weee. Daniel has a face that belongs as a contestant on Love Island and customer service abilities well beyond his years. He was caring, attentive, and very generous, all great qualities to have as a man (P.S ladies he’s single 🤭) anyways I slammed a few glasses of wine with my meal, and walked out the door very pleased and aroused. I was overall very pleased with my experience and will be revisiting this Olive Garden again!“

“I have to say I was disappointed tonight. I’ve been eating here for quite some time, but I must mention how awful the owner was to his staff. I overheard him belittle his staff on numerous occasions. He made a comment that if he had to be there, they were going to feel it. He called one of the staff junior a few times. A staff person brought him more of those little oil dishes, and he snapped that he didn’t need those. He seemed intoxicated by hugging on one of the cooks. There are plenty of other places to eat without having to watch this “show”.“

“I placed a special order for their cannolis after various recommendations and they were beyond a hit! What a great pair of owners in a quaint spot in downtown Roanoke. Extremely reasonably priced for amazing, fresh, handmade, REAL food. I will definitely return to try more!“

“What a lovely experience. Stopped in and had two fantastic cocktails. Dark rum and gin. Who ever is designing their menu has a varried pallet and knows flavor. Our bartender was kind and very engaging. I highly recommend stopping by while visiting Roanoke.“

“Friendly, accurate, helpful service and delicious food, what more can you ask for, am I right? One of the best Strombolis with which I’ve had the pleasure of engorging myself. I may have been uncomfortable afterwards, but they can’t help it if the delicious-factor of their food inspired me to overeat. I got the steak Stromboli with extra steak, because, well…protein goals. She got the regular Stromboli. We also got garlic knots that were also on-time lemme tell ya. We both agree that the food quality was top notch and we will return when back in the area. We got carry out, so I can’t really comment too discerningly on the atmosphere, but placing a carry out order and picking up was a pleasure.

“Stopped overnight in Roanoke on our family road trip vacation, and had supper here. The food was awesome! Great grinders and pizza, and the staff was super friendly! Definitely hitting them up again next year when we roll through!“

“My husband and I got the little buffet while there. Everything seemed pretty average. I didn't get the spaghetti and meatballs but my husband did. He said the sauce was just ok and the meatballs were a little bland. I noticed the garlic knots were very dense. Over all not a bad experience.“
