“Had an enjoyable evening out during a business dinner. Atmosphere was 5 star! Service was almost 5 star, however we did feel a bit rushed in getting our food order in before we were even served our cocktails. The food was very good and we will return on our next visit to Roanoke!“
“Fortunato serves upscale Italian food in a pared down but trendy atmosphere. Yes, the semi/rustic style means diners either need to sit close together or shout to be heard. I was one of a weekday evening of a party of three all of whom love to try new food. Starting with the formaggi (cheese platter) to cannoli and semifreddo dessert, we were not disappointed. Each of us ordered a main dish. The vegetarian chose homemade pasta with a creamy cheese sauce; the meat eater, pork Milanese; and I, the roasted whole Branzino. I elelcted to trythis fish for comparison with similar dishes in a favorite Oriental restaurant. Fortunato’s Branzino preparation won hands down for me. The flesh was perfectly prepared - moist, tender, and almost falling off the bones. The side complimented the fish perfectly. I finished my cannoli accompanied by an espresso and a smile on my face.“
“I am giving 5 stars because this little deli shop is not trying to be anything else but a humble breakfast and lunch place with freshly prepared sandwiches. They get bagels from Brooklyn. So far I have tried the bagel sandwich that included lox, cream cheese, onion, caper, and tomato; a turkey sandwich; and a roast beef sandwich with bright pink rare roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish mayo; and of course bagel with schmear (cream cheese). The breakfast bagel sandwiches are so tasty that my guy goes about once a week. The restaurant is very small so lots of their business is takeout.“

“I ordered Chicken Parmesan to be delivered by Door Dash. When I got it, the entree was steamy hot. There was enough of it to feed 2-3 people. It was very good. The Caesar Salad was fresh and tasty. Garlic bread was included. I will order from Uncle D’s again. I will probably ask for extra tomato sauce to go with all the noodles.“

“My wife and I found this amazing hidden gem on accident. We both agree this is a must visit location. We had the Reina Pepiada -Chicken Salad Arepa, Cobb Salad, La Cachetona Salad, Tequenos and garlic knots. When I tell you the food was absolutely delicious, the staff especially our server was the most amazing human being. The only regret we had was not catching his name.We will be back here for sure. “I had the old-world style pizza (no cheese), and it was absolutely delicious! I eat plant-based, so when I heard about this place I had to give it a try. It’s amazing how quality ingredients can make something so simple SO delicious. I absolutely loved it and am SO thankful to them for offering such a delicious non-dairy option! “My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at a new to us restaurant. We were not.disappointed. We arrived at 6:00pm and was told there was a 30-35 minute wait, but we were seated in 25 minutes or so: The restaurant was very busy, but we never had to wait for our server. We ordered the garlic bread appetizer, with my wife getting the chicken carbonara and I opted for the chicken Francis. Our meal was brought to us in a perfect dinner cycle, meaning salad after finishing the appetizer, and entree after salads were finished. The food was just as impressive as the service, great flavors, tender chicken, the house Italian salad dressing was amazing. We also had garlic knots with our entrees and they too were amazing. We topped the dinner off with a couple of cannolis to go that are maybe the best I’ve ever had. Compliments to the entire staff, can’t wait to come back and try the Stromboli.“

“Went here for lunch around the holidays and ordered the Bellacinos Super. Staff were pleasant, the place was clean and the pizza itself came out pretty quick! Pizza is cut into squares which I enjoy, however I gravitated towards the outside crust pieces as the middle ones were a bit floppy. If you like gooey floppy pizza this place is probably your jam, the crust itself was pretty delightful and the cheese was overflowing. However I am a crunchy thin crust kinda girly, so I may try some more pizza places. Honestly if this place made some calzones I bet they'd be delish!“
“The staff [hi Helen!] Is fantastic, the food is always top notch and the chocolate cake is a must have. A great place for a birthday or anniversary also has a full bar that is separate from the dining area if you just want to go for drinks.Parking: The lot is relatively small but depending on time of day you can usually find parking at the laundromat next door.“

“This was my first time here and we got a veggie chicago-style deep dish pizza - it was excellent. The sauce and crust especially were very delicious. The waitress and staff were also very friendly and helpful.I've always loved deep dish pizzas and am so happy to find there is a now a local place where I can go and get one!
