“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! “We've always gotten pizza (which is great!) but recently tried cheesesteaks and calzones - they are delicious! My mom even said it's the best and ever had. Such a cute, underrated gem in Salem. ❤️“

“After a 10 hour car ride we were looking for a place to eat, and franks was one of three options open. Safe to say it did not disappoint! The pizza was really good, and the staff was extremely friendly! We came in about half an hour to closing, and they were kind enough to put in some drinks and two pizzas for us! “I did lunch take out. The food was ok. Baked spaghetti was alright. I was underwhelmed by the steak and cheese. I guess I expected more from an Italian restaurant. “Our server Ava was awesome she was attentive sweet have great advice on what to order. The food was beautifully presented ( don’t judge by our pics we had driven 10 hours and were very hungry lol. We had the clams and Barrata appetizers they were fabulous and the sauce from the clams was fantastic ( we took it home). The bread that came with it was soft and yummy.

For dinner we had Mafaldine and the Bucatini. I had the bucatini and the sauce was fresh and a beautiful shade of red, not overcooked with chunks of tomato. The bucatini was cooked to
Perfection and it was hot but not too hot.

The Mafaldine my husband got had big shrimp and it was very savory - had a very pancetta taste. Very good.

“Kari was absolutely wonderful! She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. She checked on us at just the right times without making us feel rushed, and her personality made our experience even better. Great service can really make a difference when you’re dining out, and Kari definitely delivered. Olive Garden at Valley View is lucky to have her! We’ll definitely be back and would happily ask for Kari again!“

“What a lovely experience. Stopped in and had two fantastic cocktails. Dark rum and gin. Who ever is designing their menu has a varried pallet and knows flavor. Our bartender was kind and very engaging. I highly recommend stopping by while visiting Roanoke.“

I have been on a search for GOOD pizza since moving here from Charlotte. Charlotte has goooood food because of all the great immigrants who make it home. I despise the chains. I also love supporting small, family owned businesses. I took a chance on this place, and my search had ended! This place is so cute. It was so reasonably priced. I got two large cheese pizzas for $30! The pizza we got was great. But the best thing to me was the service. Friendly, very attentive. 100% will be back. I found my pizza place and I can finally rest after searching for a good little local spot. Thanks for coming to my saga talk about food searches.“

“The best pizza in town. I was blown away. I grew up with parents that are from New York. This pizza reminds them of home, and they never say that. It’s legit. Don’t waste your money anywhere else.“

“I have to say I was disappointed tonight. I’ve been eating here for quite some time, but I must mention how awful the owner was to his staff. I overheard him belittle his staff on numerous occasions. He made a comment that if he had to be there, they were going to feel it. He called one of the staff junior a few times. A staff person brought him more of those little oil dishes, and he snapped that he didn’t need those. He seemed intoxicated by hugging on one of the cooks. There are plenty of other places to eat without having to watch this “show”.“

“Stopped overnight in Roanoke on our family road trip vacation, and had supper here. The food was awesome! Great grinders and pizza, and the staff was super friendly! Definitely hitting them up again next year when we roll through!“

“The owner is a true Italian and does it right. He uses fresh ingredients and is not lacking on portion size. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious and I plan on trying many other things.“

“My husband and I got the little buffet while there. Everything seemed pretty average. I didn't get the spaghetti and meatballs but my husband did. He said the sauce was just ok and the meatballs were a little bland. I noticed the garlic knots were very dense. Over all not a bad experience.“
