“I was in the area one morning last week needing gas and stumbled upon this place inside the gas station. I ordered 2 breakfast tacos. They were of nice size and the price was fair but it was weird that I had to pay first. They give you a little paper with a price and you go to the register to pay.

I had the pleasure of indulging in the chicken flautas and chicken empanadas with red sauce and coleslaw and let me tell you it was a flavor explosion ? The Chicken Flautas were perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside with just the right amount of seasoning to tantalize your taste buds and the Chicken Empanadas pure comfort food heaven. The cornmeal hot pocket was stuffed to the brim with savory chicken and potatoes and paired perfectly with the tangy red sauce and refreshing coleslaw. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving more. Emily's is definitely a must visit for anyone craving delicious, authentic Central American cuisine in Herndon. She also sells Street Corn ? and Pickled Hot Mangos It's a very small place just outside the 'BestWay' supermarket so it's not the best plaza, but the flavor is there!?This pic doesn't do justice because the Flautas were smothered with the cole slaw with red sauce and cheese crumble on top, but you can imagine the taste ?“

“Stopped by this weekend for their happy hour tacos and was really impressed. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, with generous portions that put other spots in the area to shame. I also loved the downstairs lounge, it’s a great place to kick back on the couches and catch a game on their multiple flat screens.“

“I've been coming here every Tuesday evening with my family for almost 20 years. We park our car a half mile away and make the ritualistic hike into the boggy mosquito infested marshy stream that is Elkick Run. The only time we've ever missed a single weekly session was once when I was briefly a POW in Afgan.

I've never had any complaints. Until this last Tuesday. When we ordered our platter of 55 tacos, and what we were served could hardly be seen to be believed. These tacos are so small. I weep for the past.

“The bodega recently changed ownership and today is when their meat counter opened. I think I was the first customer and I bought a tri tip, an excellent cut of beef not carried by the local supermarkets. The restaurant portion of the store makes everything fresh to order, including the tortillas.“
