“The biggest selling point is hands-down the free chips and salsa bar. Getting unlimited chips and a great salsa selection without being charged extra easily puts them ahead of competition. I usually get the Homewrecker bowl with chicken—the portions are huge, the black beans are well-seasoned, and free guac is included. Do not skip a side of the Famous Queso; it’s worth every penny.
It’s reliable, quick, and heavy-handed with the portions. I'll definitely keep coming back.“

“This place is kind of small hole in the wall. Seats about 14 or so outside and not many more people inside. Nice menu that's not too large or too small. Some Tex-Mex menus have way too many choices. The starter tortilla chips and salsa were top notch. Service all around was excellent. I had the Chicken Chimichanga and it was one of the best I've ever had. It came with rice and refried beans as well as pico, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. The presentation was great as well Can't wait to come back.“

“Came to Laredo after a busy day at the zoo and I am so glad I did. First of all the staff is very sweet and friendly. Secondly, the food was all very fresh and very filling! The margs were some of the best I had as well. Worth every penny and whenever I come to the area I would definitely come again.“

“We found this place by accident recently and we have been back twice. It’s a great find. The food is excellent , I love the chips and dips, the barbecue options are good, servings are generous, everything is delicious.
We have a 5 and 7 yr old and they enjoy the food and the shuffleboard! The shuffleboard is definitely one of the main reasons we love it, waiting for food with kids this age can be a pain but this is a great way to make an event of lunch, we are a no screen family so for us this place is a great option!
We like the booth seating, the round tables are small so nothing fits on them once food arrives and they give the kids waters in glass not plastic so that can be a bit nerve wracking so if you’re a party of more than 4 try to avoid the round tables!“

“We had such a great experience at Uncle Julio's in Arlington, VA! The Spicy Grilled Shrimp Street Tacos were absolutely delicious. The combination of the perfectly seasoned shrimp and the fresh toppings made every bite so flavorful. They were definitely my favorite!
My daughter shared the Taco Bar Tuesday, and she absolutely loved it. It was such a fun and interactive meal, served on a spinning tray with plenty of fresh toppings to build your own tacos. It was perfect for sharing and reasonably priced too.
One of the best parts of our visit was the atmosphere. We chose to sit outside, where we enjoyed the beautiful city views while listening to live music. It created such a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.
The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Arlington!“

“Great little place. The lomo saltado was good but the black beans that come with it are fantastic. Knowing a little Spanish definitely helped when ordering but I'm sure you'd be fine without it. Everyone there (staff and other customers) were extremely nice and even helped when my Spanish failed. We will definitely add this to our list of places to come back to.“

“A go-to place for a tasty New Mexico style breakfast or dinner, Anita's in Burke, one of several branches of the local chain, is convenient to where relatives live, so we often have meals there. The food is very good and the service is usually outstanding, expeditious but not hurried, making meals a pleasure. All of the extensive breakfast menu items we have tried, including New Mexico style and standard American, have been good as have most of the lunch and dinner items. Those of us who like spicy are rarely disappointed, but one can order milder versions of most items Given that prices re moderate, Anita's in Burk is strongly recommended, especially for breakfast.“

More importantly I am convinced the ingredients are locally and sustainably sourced unlike other places where the ingredients have been overly processed/preserved. If you understand ‘fresh’ in terms of food, this is the place to be.“

“I spent a couple hours here because my flight was delayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My Cosmos were perfectly pink. (If they’re clear and red they’re not made correctly) and only $6 during Happy Hour. I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, Cosmos I ordered the Bora Bora marinated chicken without the tortilla over rice. It was delicious! The chicken was so tender and tasty and all the flavors were wonderful. I also enjoyed watching the surfers on TV,. The waves relaxed me instead being stressed out over a delayed flight. Definitely recommend this place for its casual atmosphere and good food. Even if you don’t like Mexican!“

“We jokingly say Tippys has the best mediocre tacos, but legit we eat here multiple times a month and absolutely love it!
My husband is from the area and the owners literally watched him and his friends grow up, and every time we come in he asks us about our family and how we’re doing - it’s just so wonderful! Very rare to have such connections these days and that’s part of the charm!
The kitchen is immaculate too! I was a restaurant manager and have seen some things but you can clearly see that they are well above standards!
You truly cannot beat the service, the price is spot on, and it’s just a neighborhood staple. In a world of curbside and delivery, Tippys is just this nice place where you can see a friend and eat good food.

“Had their signature burrito. It was delicious. Cost was about $10; a couple of days before I paid $15 for a really terrible one from the DC food trucks. My daughter had bubble tea from a different spot in this food court that was also way better and cheaper than food truck. My conclusion is skip the food trucks and head over here and you will do much better.“
