“Fried Clams always a hit, Shrimp Scampi was absolutely out of this world 6 GIANT butterfly shrimp and the pasta was perfect, I had chicken Alfredo the chicken was perfecty grilled and plenty of it and again the pasta was perfect. Sara our server was on point. I can overlook certain things cleanliness is not one but here even the men's room smelled fresh and it appeared spotless. I highly recommend this place it's a bit pricey or I would be here weekly but the portion size makes up as I have leftovers everytime. Over the past few years I've been here 30 plus times. I've never had a bad experience. my advice to the nay sayers is don't slap a place for one bad experience talk to the manager so they know what needs correcting working in this industry most of my life, mistakes can happen but they can be made right as well. I'll be back soon guys.”

“Absolutely amazing omakase experience! The ambiance was unusal in the best sense -- it's an old building with original floors and ceilings, very cozy, great music (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, INXS, CSNY, etc.), the staff were all SO fun and friendly, and the sushi was the BEST we've ever had.

I've never leave restaurant reviews but sushi aka merits breaking my precedent.

I took my husband for his birthday last weekend and it was a top 10 date experience for us! A table by the window and closer to the sushi bar (best seat in the house IMO) became available and we were invited to move there. At one point our first dance wedding song came on and when the chef overheard, he restarted the song for us and the staff decided to make room for us to dance (and even took a video for us).

We were asked some questions beforehand to get an idea of what we liked and didn't like, what our favorite sushi was, how adventurous we were, etc. The omakase was very reasonably priced (our budget is tight right now, but this was worth saving up for), and included three sushi dishes, a sashimi platter, a three-part sashimi tasting menu (can't empathize the difference expert rice prepararion and seasoning makes!), all prepared by Chef Michael, and an amazing desserts course prepeared by Chef Adam. All eight courses were delicious and delightful surprises.

**Making a reservation is advised and omakase is by reservation only, so call in advance.

The drinks menu was extensive. My husband ordered the Japanese whiskey flight and loved it. The rest of the menu looked really interesting and we look forward to trying some of the staple dishes next time.

Chef Michael's technical skills, knowledge, and presentation were all incredible. Some of the fish I hadn't experienced before, which says a lot, and all of it was unbelievably fresh and perfectly prepared. They had actual, real, fresh wasabi root available, which I've never seen anywhere else in the region. It's also the only authentic omakase I've seen in Virginia outside the DC area. We eat a LOT of sushi and this is hands down the best within a 3hr radius (and likely beyond).

We hardly ever go to Suffolk, but sushi aka was definitely worth the drive and we'll be returning as soon as we can. I can't recommend it enough. The staff were attentive and just made us feel special.

“My fiancé and I have been a few times since moving to Suffolk. We’ve always had fast and friendly service and the food portions are huge. We went this past Saturday evening for dinner to celebrate both of our birthdays (both Oct. 19th). Everyone was kind and friendly but when we mentioned it was our celebration no one seemed to care, probably because it was just two of us alone at a huge table. The other guests were sang to, had tricks performed for them, and it was just a regular Saturday evening for them. It was pretty disappointing. Wasn’t looking for special treatment but, we’ve had far better times there. Anyway, food was amazing as always. Will return.”

“I had to place a relatively large order for my job for a luncheon. It was approximately 49 boxed sandwiches.
2 days before delivery i called and spoke to Tom to make sure we were good for the order and that he had received it. Tom was wonderful he was already preparing the boxes and labels. I double checked with Tom that delivery time was ok and Tom's response was i will have it to ypu by 11 (i had requested 11:30).
Friday 11 am my cell phone rang and it was Colton the delivery driver with our food! Colton was so wonderful he unloaded everything and made sure I had what I needed.
During the set up of the luncheon I had several people stop in and ask where we got our food from. I told them Wich Wich in Suffolk!! The entire department enjoyed the food.
I called Tom to let him know everything was great and thanked him and Colton. Tom told me to stop in and ask for him next time I was in the area.
So I did today and got to meet Tom and see Colton again. Great customer service great food. I feel like Tom is someone I have known forever. I would definitely go back and highly recommend!!”

We may have to travel back to Suffolk again soon. Great food, great service and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. Servings were quite ample, and we both had food to take home. “Small but inviting restaurant that has some seating but is best suited for carryout. Service was very friendly and the wait very reasonable. I don't believe they get many eat-in patrons so table service was spotty in that food was brought out piecemeal rather than all together. It was about 10 minute total between first and last plate of food being delivered. Additionally, the plates were presented family style but no additional plates given to eat from. Additional plates were however, given upon request. Overall, the dishes Seafood Delight and Chinese Vegetables in Curry Sauce were very well prepared and presented. The Curry was good but in quantity, came across a bit salty for my tastes. The Seafood Delight was worth having again. Again, because thwy are best suited and staffed for carry-out there was no wait staff to check on us after food was served. Given, everything I would return but get my food to-go. I thought I'd taken some photos but I can't find them”
