“I had an incredible experience inTurkish Couple food truck. From the first bite, you can taste the authenticity and care put into every dish. The flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced, especially the meats, which were tender, juicy, and full of seasoning.

The portions were generous and everything was served hot and fresh. The bread was soft and warm, and the sauces added the perfect finishing touch. You can really tell this is homemade-style Turkish cooking done with passion.

Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and patient while explaining the menu. Even during a busy rush, they stayed professional and kind.

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. “I stopped by Taste of Istanbul this afternoon for the first time. For the most part it was really good. I ordered a potato pide, 2 doner kebab, mixed meze, and pistachio baklava. Everything was delicious except for the”baklava”, which turned out to be two greasy dough cylinders. No phyllo, no honey, no pistachio filling. I was disappointed that I wasted $7.00 for inedible dough I ended up throwing in the garbage. Get the kebabs, stay away from their version of baklava.“
