“I’ve been smoking BBQ for decades and have never found a brisket as good as mine. Until I tried Mama Jeans. Their brisket is actually better than mine. I mean, so much so that I haven’t opened my pit for brisket since trying theirs. I’ve been back several times, and every single time the brisket is juicy, perfectly smoked and just tender as a mother’s love! Now the chicken, well to get a better piece of chicken, you’d have to be a rooster! Oh my word, the chicken is amazing. Their sausage is tremendous and their sides are just amazing. I’m not saying I eat here a lot but when I started eating at mama jeans I only weighed 185 pounds! I can tell you these 262 pounds of happy man highly recommends Mama Jeans! It’s Blues Man approved!“

“My husband I are huge Mission fans. They catered our wedding! Last night our food was subpar so I called over to explain the disappointment. Tony took care of us without us having to put up a fight! Needless to say, Mission will always get our business due to the stellar customer service!“

“The food here is FABULOUS! The staff is sooo friendly and polite also! The prices are reasonable as well! This place may not get enough credit! Everything is homemade daily! The meat is truly smoked on site EVERY DAY!! Their Brunswick Stew is the epitome of homemade comfort food!! The coleslaw and potato salad are exquisite and made every day fresh!! Another commenter complained about the hush puppies?? These are THE BEST FRESHEST CRISPEST DELICIOUS hush puppies!! In our opinion that is unbelievably inaccurate! They have a cozy little bar to sit at also. The restaurant itself is definitely in need of a makeover…. No question. They seem to do a very good business with lots of regulars. If ambience is critical, (it is for us), then we completely recommend takeout (pickup) which they do a wonderful job at!!“

“First time here. We were seated quickly. The menu has plenty to offer. My Husband and I both ordered the vinegar bbq. They had a bottle of vinegar bbq and one with tomato bbq on the table if you wanted to add extra. I had a bite without extra and then I tried a bite with extra. And then tried a bite with tomato bbq. Yum, I liked it best with the tomato bbq added. The sandwich was small but just enough for me. My Husband could have downed 2. There were a lot of hush puppies. The honey butter they came with was delish. The price was fair. I can't say it's my favorite restaurant but it's certainly not the worst“

“This has been a regular dinner spot for me for quite some time. The price is right and the food is consistently delicious, whether I get the pulled pork or their amazing smoked chicken salad sandwich. Their wings are so so good as well. I also love their wide variety of sides and homemade sauces, and the banana pudding makes for a great inclusion as one of the side options! The owners and employees are always so friendly and quick to make helpful recommendations to new customers who aren't quite sure what to try. Roanoke is made better by having Due South on its local restaurant scene!!“

“I don't eat hamburgers but they're shakes are extraordinary! A friend of mine turned me on to them. Absolutely delicious and well made. Service is excellent. Couldn't be happier. The entrance to the drive-thru is a menace and that is the only issue. Be careful and look around. It's very close to the BJ's gas and an access point for people to get in and out. It's a bad area for good yummy shakes! Haha

“Today’s buffet at Smiley’s was absolutely delicious! The food was all seasoned well, hot and just so good. The desserts were amazing!! I wanted to eat more but I just couldn’t eat another bite! If you haven’t tried their Sunday buffet….you should.“
