Our servers were Ashli and Morgan B. They were outstanding and definitely helped to make our party FANTASTIC and a success! We had 44 adults and 4 children in attendance, and the service was over the top excellent. The food was delicious and was served in a very timely manner. All of our guests were more than pleased with the food and the service. I have never seen service to this many people so professional and timely. These two young ladies were professional and fun, and treated all of our guests as if they were "their" gusts, wanting to give them the best service ever. In fact, many of our guests commented on their professionalism, and the quality of the food, and how they would return here to have future meals. We eat here often and ALWAYS find the selections well prepared, tasty, and delivered in a timely manner. I recommend this Macado's to anyone expecting a great meal in a fun atmosphere. Thank you.“

Nonetheless the chef was excellent and food sourced freshly. The service was good. The food and service gets it five stars but they need to allow substitutions. I get why they don't though — it was very busy. Parking was confusing cause the lot is down the street and a lot of spots say LUNA in the parking spot but customers for Fortunato can park there.“

“This was first time at Lucky and we were very impressed! Our reservation was early so we could make a show, and the staff had everything running very smoothly. We enjoyed a romantic window table where our server, Jack, helped us choose dishes based on our appetite level. First up was the pimento cheese board with bread and pickles—very nice and a generous portion of delicious pimento cheese spread. It could have served four people. I had the fried okra starter and found it to be not only perfectly fried, but very creative with the succotash and drizzled toppings. My husband had the fried chicken which was also fried exactly right and I enjoyed the trout entree with Carolina Gold rice. Every single thing about our meal was great. A bit noisy in the bar seating area, but only because the bartenders were turning out expertly crafted cocktails. I highly recommend the “Evacuate your Sleep” drink, which was a playful tequila riff on espresso martini. Well done, Lucky! See you next time we are back in Roanoke!“

“Just moved to Roanoke and have to find new places to go for dinner. Have been there for dinner tonight and would recommend this place. I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . Will definitely come back.“

“Our usual place was closed so we decided to try a whole new place and it was a good choice! The general tsos isn’t drowning in sauce which made it so much better in my opinion. The vegetable lo mein had a very generous vegetable to noodle ratio and great flavor, and the chicken fried rice was great as well. The place was crowded as can be with people out the door, but we’d called ahead and I was able to get in and out quickly.

Parking: The parking lot is small and can be difficult to get in and out of on a busy night.“

The surrounding breweries are great don’t get me wrong but it seems that they have turned into what seems like a kids play ground. This one is not. “Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! “The manager noticed that I needed help and came over to assist me because I wanted to order takeout but, I was at the main entrance. She escorted me over to where I could order takeout on the other side of the restaurant. That showed great customer service. Kudos to the management staff.“

It would be nice if they had a drive through, because it's kind of cramped waiting for your food to arrive especially on the weekends when it's the busiest. They have the best gravy biscuits in the entire world, and the chicken biscuit is massive. The music they play in the restaurant is a little weird and doesn't match the vibe of the restaurant. I usually order to go from here because seating is limited and I don't want to have to stand around and scramble for a table“

Highly disappointed that when i called ahead of time to ask if they had a dessert table, was told No. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, so I brought a cake. Never have I ever had fresh sushi that tasted like it was a sushi based restaurant at a BUFFET!

Some other items were just alright, but the sushi and grill were OUT of this water!

I definitely recommend getting their honey chicken, grill, sushi, white rice (cooked to perfection), and egg rolls! I’m very harsh when it comes to egg rolls but the ones here taste just like they do back at home!

The meat is truly smoked on site EVERY DAY!! Their Brunswick Stew is the epitome of homemade comfort food!! The coleslaw and potato salad are exquisite and made every day fresh!! Another commenter complained about the hush puppies?? These are THE BEST FRESHEST CRISPEST DELICIOUS hush puppies!! In our opinion that is unbelievably inaccurate! It's so good I've eaten there three times in a week. They must have new owners because all the staff are so friendly and kind now. Before thy were unfriendly and not very pleasant.“

The salads are the best and are huge and I never get tired of pulled chicken or pulled pork and the portions are always great. The outside seating is large and the place is always clean.
