“My partner and I visited this cidery during our stay at a bed and breakfast nearby. We really enjoyed the cider flight and wine flight! The mulled cider wine was a nice touch! This place can be tricky to get to if you plan on using an Uber or Lyft. The workers were so kind. One of the workers helped us get to the brewery nearby and back to our bed and breakfast because Lyft rides were so hard to get to. This is definitely worth a visit!“
“Village Winery is a delightful place to visit. It first got a local reputation for its Elderberry Syrup. I always keep a stock of the apple cider, which is the best I've ever had, and I also highly recommend the Honey Berry products which are full of antioxidants. On my last visit I picked up some of the Village Winery honey. It was incredible. This is a great place to pick up healthy products for yourself or for gifts.“
“My favorite winery hands down, amazing selection, love the owner, feels at home... couldn't ask for a better place!“
“A quiet and very relaxing venue, and the owners are extremely friendly and engaged. The red wines are especially good. They tend to have a smooth flavor similar to California wines.“
“We had a wonderful experience at the vineyard! Nancy is an amazing person. The staff were great and the wine was wonderful!“
“Beautiful property. However, service has gone down. Not willing to have fire pits or fireplaces lit when requested and food has declined in quality on pizza and charcuterie boards.“
“I visited Cassanel for the first time in December 2022 it was the last of 4 wineries I visited that day. Long overdue review shame on me. Some friends and myself like going to different wineries every time we have a chance and I honestly been coming back to Cassanel more than any other winery I thought I liked before. Let's begin with the staff, the amazing people who works here always welcome everyone with an amazing smile and warmth atmosphere. Theresa was the first person I meet and she is beyond amazing. Such a beautiful human being. Never been a wine person because always end up with that one wine super dry and strong flavor that I couldn't drink. The have not one wine that I can say I didn't like....but do have my favorites José Rosé and Dolce 😍😍 Yesterday (June 26, 2023) had the opportunity to meet Mr. José who's been with them for over 12 years and takes amazing care of the grapes, then got to meet Mr. Nelson (the owner) he is a wonderfu man and full fo good vibes. We had a wonderful conversation full laugh and now I understand why this winery is so amazing. 100% recommend, wines are delicious and affordable.“
“A delightful vineyard in a magical setting - complimented by knowledgeable staff and an impressive array of wines… My wife and I visited with a group and had a wonderful time! PJ and her husband John have created a place which must be visited to appreciate the beauty they have created in the rolling hills of the Three Creek Winery! Their whites, rose, and reds are indeed unique and delicious!“
“I've been to Droumavalla several times and it is definitely one of my favorite wineries. The scenery is magnificent and the ambiance inside is perfection.
Elizabeth is always such a pleasure and knows a lot about the wine. She helped me reserve the back room they have to host my birthday party and it was such an amazing time.
The room is a perfect size for 15-20 people and plenty of space to bring food/snacks and they have games, which my guests enjoyed.
Eddie, who's the owner is amazing also! He takes pride in his business, especially his water. So if you stop by and he, or his son, is there, be sure to ask.
They offer tastings and also have a draft IPA. I really love the petit manseng and my absolute favorite is the Lisa Michelle. If you like champagne, they have an amazing option as well.
Overall, gorgeous place, delicious wine, and amazing customer service!“
“We had the pleasure of attending Loudoun Cider’s Grand Opening, and they even hired our Marigold Bus & Booth for the celebration! I couldn’t be happier for Macy and her family — what an incredible addition to Loudoun County.
If you’re looking for a beautiful spot to unwind, Loudoun Cider is a must-visit. The venue is scenic, the cider is top-notch, and the whole experience just feels special. From the owners to the staff, everything is run with such care and heart.
Can’t wait to go back and sip some more cider soon!“
“This winery is great if you are looking for a good wine and peaceful place. It’s small but it has a great atmosphere. Their wines are excellent! I love their wine and chocolate praline tasting. We like this place for birthday parties as well as it’s usually not too crowded. Their outdoor is large with many places to sit. The indoor is small with just few tables. But as I mentioned, most of their members typically pick up their wines to go so it’s never an issue to find a spot to sit. The only negative thing I can say is that my kids don’t love going there because it’s not much to do for them, and the parking lot could use a bit of love. But we are members for about 6+ years and we truly like their wines. My family makes wines in Slovakia and I took them there as well and they enjoyed their wines a lot as well!“

“This lovely family owned and run farm is a true gem. A great place to escape the hustle. It’s farming just plant the grapes😉🍷“
“We visited because they were part of the Loudoun Heights Holiday Ornament Trail * stop 5 for us! Saturday they were also hosting The Charles Washington Symphony so they were VERY busy! The Symphony required reservations, which we did not have, though we were lucky to get 2 seats by a barrel table.
Staff at the front counter were friendly. Wines were nice. I liked the way the flight was served!
Tasting room is pretty large and there is a lot of outdoor space as well.
We hope to stop back again
What we tasted:
2025 Gold Medal Ornament Flight
*note descriptions below are from the winery tasting notes
2023 Chardonnay: Aged sur lie for 21 months in French and American oak. The palate brings cozy notes of baked apple, vanilla, and gentle spice, all lifted by delicate minerality. Elegant and inviting.
2022 Thomas Great: This Bordeaux blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Petit Verdot, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon brings classic varietals together Aged 3 years in Oak and 18 months in bottle, it's powerful yet refined. Aromas of dark plum black cherry, and violet mingle with mocha, cedar, and a touch of herb. Petit Verdot adds depth while Cabernet Franc brings bright spice. Full-bodied and balanced. it finishes with smooth tannins, dark fruit, and toasted oak
2022 Petite Verdot: Award-winning Petit Verdot was aged 24 months in barrel and finished in bottle This dark rubv-crimson Petit Verdot is ready to join the holiday party. Think aromas of cigar box, worn leather, and a hint of cozy fireplace smoke- Bold dark fruit and confident tannins lead to a long cheerful finish
2023 Piebald White:
Named for the rare piebald deer that once roamed the woods behind the winery. The blend artfully combines Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, and White Petit Verdot to create an expressive wine with hints of floral spice, subtie oak, and a bright finish. The label has a hand drawn piebald deer

“I recently celebrated my birthday at The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I reached out to Susan, their coordinator, I knew we were in great hands. She was incredibly responsive, professional, and accommodating—especially considering we had a large group.
The vineyard itself was beautiful and welcoming. We had such a great time enjoying the delicious wines—each one we tried was truly tasty and well-crafted. The charcuterie baskets were a hit too: generous portions, beautifully arranged, and full of flavor.
To top it all off, there was live music by Chris, which created the perfect atmosphere for a fun and relaxed afternoon. The entire team was so warm and friendly, and they made the experience feel special from start to finish.
My friends and I are already talking about coming back again soon. Highly recommend The Barns at Hamilton Station for any special occasion—or just a great day out!“
“This Winery was the best place to get mead wine in the entire state of Virginia!“
“This is a fun place to see a relaxed show. Options are only wine by the bottle (Tarara) or a local brewery and cidery but we always find something acceptable. Bring your own chairs and picnic (no outside alcohol) but there are food truck options as well. Generally not over-crowded and pretty gentrified crowd.“
“Lovely small vineyard that makes you feel at home. They have great wines, steaks, eggs and other food products. We have been coming here for years and always enjoy our time. Bob is amazing and does so much to make you feel part of the family“
“First visit today. Lovely venue. Nice wine and food. Kids and pets…witnessed a couple with 3 dogs who had no control over them. One pet fight with another dog guest. Then witnessed a small child having her hand bitten by one of the dogs. I hope the owners of the winery have sufficient insurance to allow anyone…especially children and babies, and dogs to enjoy the venue. Great to be family and pet friendly…but is that a wise business decision? Not sure that alcohol, children and pets are a wise and safe business practice…what happened to baby and pet sitters for an afternoon out?“
“Had a fabulous time here today! Excellent wine selection and the staff was amazing! Elizabeth was so sweet and the gentleman bartender whom is a high school history teacher (didn’t get his name) was great as well! We found our new favorite winery! Stunning views!!! Absolutely breathtaking!“
“Great wine. Excellent service and atmosphere. 🍷😁🍷“
“Visited this winery with some friends the other week. Wine flightes were pre selected but you can still get a taste of any wine and beer!
Our bartender Arman was very friendly and helped guide us on the best wines to pair with our food. He also gave us a great breakdown on all the beers on draught and gave us amazing food recs (get the carpenters flatbread)!
Views are amazing, bar staff are friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Will be coming back!!“
“Great little winery,Great wine selection, especially loved the cab sav and the unusual chardonnay.Very good food selection as well, and a huge shout out to Angle, our hostess and sumalie (I'm probably misspelling it) for such a great service and making our visit so fun“
“You cannot beat the view at Stone Tower Winery. I photographed a wedding this August at this venue and it felt like I was transported to the Tuscany countryside.
The staff was a breeze to work with. They were professional and were very helpful anytime I had questions or needed a golf cart ride to the other side of the property.
The hall is decorated in such a way that you can really do any color scheme or style in that room. It is neutral enough while also feeling modern and warm.
If you're looking for the best winery to get married at then look no further. Stone Tower is the place.“
“Love the pairings! Such a fun vibe and fantastic wine!“
“Love spending an afternoon at Creeks Edge! It’s a beautiful venue and there wine is great!!“
“Nice vineyard, plenty of tables and selection of wines. The place was nice, but minus one star for the wines. The best one we had was Chere Marie. Had two different flights and we enjoy the Chere Marie white wine which is similar to Reislings. It has live singer too, overall a fun day with awesome weather.“
“We visited Doukenie the day after Christmas and couldn’t have had a more delightful experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations that truly enhanced our visit. Andrea, Bonnie, and Kelli were absolutely fabulous and made us feel so welcome—we will definitely be coming back!“
“Great hard apple cider! Great pretzel’s!“

“Small family owned winery with amazing wines! Our group did a tasting and I most enjoyed their sparkling Chardonnay, merlot, and barouche red. We met Mike the winemaker and he along with his staff were all very welcoming. We’ll be back to visit in the fall!“
