“First time at Vegan A. F. tonight. Not a vegan, I was eager to try here because I know one of the owners as an amazing cook/chef in the past at non- vegan places. She and the rest of the staff shined tonight! Tried their award winning chili - very good; coconut curry vegetable soup - outstanding!; gluten free cake; non dairy mousse, etc. etc. If all vegan dishes are as tasty as this, wow! (And I hear they are!) A great experience for this novice.“

“I got the garbanzo frittata with two kinds of sauce and enjoyed the kale salad that came with it. My friend had the mushroom burger salad, and she thought it was delicious and very flavorful and that the burger was crispy and everything was very fresh. Went back on 5/9/2025 and we had the fries for an appetizer - hot, seasoned well and crisp on the ouside served with 2 sauces that complimented the fries well. One of us had the Fiesta Bowl - yummy and filling! and the other person got the Ferment Bowl- they were out of the bean for the bowl and so subbed aioli black bean dish and either the beans or the kimchi were really garlicy which was a bit of a taste turn off for me. “Perfect cup of joe! My barista had excellent drink craftsmanship, they were very friendly and quick to make my latte. Seems like a great place to sit, read a good book, and enjoy a lovely coffee. Love Brattleboro and Mocha Joe’s!

“Rating this place mostly on the food, I have to give it 5 stars. The atmosphere may be lacking, but finding sushi anywhere near this quality is difficult in New England. I am very particular about sushi and have tried dozens of restaurants in NH and Mass as well as while traveling to Japan, and I must say this place is in my top five experiences in New England.“

“The service was terrible. We waited over an hour for our meal. My salad came after my meal was delivered. The meal was cold. It had been sitting for a very long time. The hostess finally delivered it. The chicken tenders were way over cooked. The waitress avoided us all during the meal, never came back to see if ever was ok. It was not ok. She snuck the check on our table. This is the worse experience ever in a restaurant and ruined our meal out.“

“More upscale than we were expecting seeking a hangover cure breakfast lol but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality coffee and ingredients. Never had a Turkish breakfast before and it did not disappoint! We liked the decor an atmosphere, it was a treat and maybe we'll try it for dinner next time we're in Brattleboro.“
