“Booked a trip to Vermont for my bday and stopped here for brunch. We were quickly greeted by front staff who let us know there was about a 20 min wait as this place gets poppin with locals and tourists all the same. She was on point about the wait it was right about 20 min & the friendly waitress sat us in the bar space. We got coffee quickly and put our order in. My hunny got the strawberry pancakes. He seen a google review pic that showed them and he had to have them. Great choice he LOVED THEM. I got the western omelette with homefries w grilled onions toast and added a side of bacon. Amazing!!! The staff, food and vibe were on point here!! Deff try them out“

“Awesome food & friendly staff in a relaxing, hometown atmosphere. We're visiting from Mount Cobb, PA, and are loving this area and the great local eateries. All of our food was delicious, especially the Italian Stuffed Meatloaf Panini!! And the company (a lovely lady who works there but was in for a meal with her sweet son, Warren, on her night off, and sat next to us) can't be beat! We had great conversation, shared some laughs, and she was kind enough to make some more local dining recommendations. A wonderful evening....thank you!“

“My husband and I make an annual trip to smuggler‘s notch every year. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we plan our trip around the dates that The Hearth & Candle is open. They close briefly after Thanksgiving and we always have to make sure that we come back when they have reopened. I have never had a bad meal here, in fact every meal has always exceeded expectations. The quality of ingredients is top-notch, and the unique dishes, always surprise me. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The best seat in the house is a cozy 2 person table right in front of their fireplace. A must visit restaurant if you are in the area. We already can’t wait to come back next year.“

“I recently had my third visit to Stone's Throw Pizza in Fairfax, and it was another fantastic experience. This time, I tried the 16" Blues in the Night pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The white sauce base, combined with the herbed ricotta, created a rich and creamy foundation, while the blueberries and fresh basil added a unique and refreshing twist. The honey drizzle brought everything together perfectly, balancing out the flavors with just the right amount of sweetness.
The Caesar Salad was fresh and crisp, with the romaine lettuce providing a nice crunch. The asiago cheese added a sharp, tangy flavor that complemented the house-made croutons and Caesar dressing. I appreciated that the dressing was served on the side, allowing me to control the amount and keep the salad from becoming soggy. Paired with a refreshing ginger ale, it made for a satisfying meal.
The service was prompt and friendly, with the staff attentive to every detail. The ambiance at Stone's Throw Pizza is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The rustic décor and cozy atmosphere create a perfect setting for a casual dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Fairfax, this place is definitely worth a visit!“

“We were visiting from CT in search of a quaint place for breakfast. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the spicy bloody Mary's with their house made jalapeño infused tequila. The breakfast food was fantastic. The bacon was crisp, the homefries spicy and filled with the right amount of flavor, and the corned beef hash was a great Irish Breakfast. Our server was fantastic! She offered us several suggestions on places to see while here such as going to Burlington and seeing the lake views with the mountains. What a great find!“

“The Cliff House was a wonderful addition to our family’s first visit at Stowe. With part of our group lazing around the lodge and the rest snowboarding, the gondola ride & lunch was a perfect meet-up. We had reservations, but arrived early and the manager readily offered a choice of tables. After reading reviews prior to our visit, we’d almost cancelled and were going to only ride the gondola. Glad we didn’t! The food arrived quickly and was excellent (chicken tenders were kid approved w/ mid rating). We were sure to compliment the manager that her staff provided the best service of any this week at Spruce Creek. While the prices are in line with other restaurants on property, the Cliff House team stands out with their professional mannerism and attentiveness to patrons.“
