“What a nice surprise to find this gem on our way up to the mountains! Quaint, warm and inviting…lovely staff. We had the chicken pie and the steak pie which were delicious and their peanut butter pie was fabulous. Will definitely stop in again!”
“it was delishious i cannot wait i go through quite a bit and im gonna tell the team i work with .the staff was very cool and very friendly ..im definately going to be a return customer as the servings are huge ...”
“Absolute favorite place to stop to eat when we visit Okemo. Everything is homemade and delicious. We haven't had bad meal here in years. Don't skip the molasses cookies!”
“Clean! So grateful for this Subway and it's employees! There was nothing else open as we came in from out of state kinda late. They were closing in 20 minutes and took our orders, made our sandwiches, and were polite the entire time. You could tell they were tired and ready to go home but kept up great customer service. They only have 3 employees so I sure hope they can find more employees for the sake of the ones that are there.”
“So wish I lived closer to this restaurant because I'd come again in a heartbeat. Came with a party of 14 and we were blown away with every dish and drink. My friend and I ordered the Maple Glazed NY Strip Steak (they didn't have the Flank Steak that night so they subbed it with a NY Strip) and the Jamaican Jerked Pork Shoulder to share. I'm still thinking about those 2 dishes even now that it's been a couple days since having it. For the Pork Shoulder, the meat was insanely tender and I absolutely loved the creamy polenta bed and the contrasting slightly sour cabbage. For the steak, the wine glaze + chimichurri were the perfect pairings for the meat. The glaze was slightly sweet and complemented the savoriness of the chimichurri. Really enjoyed the scallion potato cake and brussel sprouts that soaked up the glaze too. I ordered the Snow Day drink and that was well done too, not too sweet. Overall amazing amazing meal and stellar service as well!”
“Wonderful cappuccino. Nice people and an awesome buckwheat brownie.I really enjoyed my short visit and chat with the barista. He suggested a few things to checkout in town. The coffee bar is right next to the Springfield falls and I enjoyed my coffee and a short stroll through town and enjoyed the view of the falls.”
“Absolutely amazing BBQ. I moved to Springfield from Memphis, and I can say the pulled pork and brisket served up by Two Neanderthals competes with the best Memphis has to offer. Get extra sauce — it’s worth it.”
“What a special experience! This isn't just fine dining, it's a full on lovely experience that is worth every Penny! The food was as high quality as it gets, the service was as personalized and attentive as it gets and you couldn't be more comfortable and satisfied with every delicious sip and bite. Our DG dinner blew our expectations out of the snow!! We cannot wait to get back for our next special occasion.”
“I posted this review one years ago:The beef panini is so delicious!!!We visited Johny’s kitchen again when we pasted Ludlow. Still had the paninis: They are so delicious! I especially love the Vermont Panini. A must try in Ludlow.”
“Highly recommend. Best espresso, sandwich and vibe you’ll find for many miles. Felt lucky to have stopped in — I left feeling recharged and satisfied. Delicious & perfectly crafted!”
“Love this place. Cocktails are yummy and the apps and entrees we have had were quite tasty. Between the daily specials and the printed menu, the variety allows something for everybody.”
“We tried the whole menu and food was delicious! Good customer service. The food came out pretty fast. We loved the cheese board and pretzels. We were a big group but Fevy, our server, was amazing! Thank you so much. Definitely visiting again”
“Food is always so good at Phelps Barn. We love the brussels sprouts appetizer and the mushroom appetizer. Fish and Chips and beef stew were excellent and the quantities were more than enough. We heard Don Dawson on the guitar and even danced a bit. Just a terrific evening”
“The only reason I'm giving 4 stars, NO VEGAN OPTIONS AT ALL! I know in my area in which I live its not as common but even dunkin has something. With that said the meals my friends had looked great! And the service was amazing, great view of the river.”
“Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! The food would've gotten 5 stars if my home fries hadn't been cold...eww to cold potatoes! A little pricey as breakfast for 2 was $60 without the ”
“Was at Esmeralda’s Pachamanca dinner gathering. A truly life experience. Maria Rondeau and JuanMa Calderón’s experimental restaurant breaks new ground in F2T eating. A must on any real foodees checkbox”
“Perfect little country diner with awesome breakfast options. We were so glad we stopped here while staying at Okemo Mountain nearby. The waitresses are very friendly, the food portions are huge and fresh, and the prices are right! They also seemed to have an amazing selection of ice cream flavors- we’ll be back to try those.”
“Excellent pizza. Busy even at 4pm. The pizza came out quick, hot, and delicious. The staff was efficient and very pleasant. I’m sure a bit later in the afternoon it will be very busy. Any wait though would be worth it. Their wood fired pizza is excellent. The beer was cold and draft.Kid-friendliness: Pretty relaxed atmosphere. Some of the table/chair sets were old chair lifts. And there’s a pool table.”
“The PEOPLE are what make this place. Kind, attentive and always smiling and joking! It is a little run down with patches on some of the seats and could use a bit of upkeep. However, that can be viewed as part of the vibe - relaxed, comfortable, homey. I always enjoy their quesadillas and margaritas!! And Shirley, Robin and the staff are all awesome!”
“Title: Cozy Delights at Waffle Cabin ☕️Review:Waffle Cabin is a delightful little store nestled right in the heart of a Okemo ski resort, offering the perfect combination of hot drinks and delicious waffles. Its convenient location makes it an ideal spot for skiers and snowboarders to take a break and indulge in some warm, comforting treats. The aroma of freshly made waffles paired with a selection of hot beverages is just what you need on a cold day on the slopes. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a moment to relax and warm up, Waffle Cabin is the go-to place. A must-visit for anyone hitting the slopes and in need of a tasty, heartwarming break! But it’s a-bit expensive”
“Ended up here on a whim and, while very casual (you order and they bring out food to you), it was a great experience! Super friendly staff, great menu, delicious food, and all for a great price. Checks all the boxes! The tacos (we got one of each) were all stellar and we ended up getting the churro chips and key lime pie for dessert, which I wouldn't sleep on! The ramen looked top tier as well. If you're looking for quick, kid-friendly, delicious spot, don't pass it up!!”
“Great home cooked meals to go. I made the mistake of trying just a little bite of the dessert (Belgium choc coconut sea salt graham cracker thing) on the drive home. Needless to say, it didn’t make it home. Wish I had time to turn around and get another one!”
“Cute and cozy spot! Great food and drinks! Maximum effort and quality of food and menu drinks were 5 stars easy! Outdoor area with fire place heaters on tables and table maid services amazing! Even had blankets just in case! Can’t wait toReturn! Amazing ideas by the owners-kudos! We loved it!Nearby activities: Okemo mountain sports nearby.”
“Wendy at Stemwinder catered my son’s wedding for 100 people and the food was amazing! The appetizers were raved about…especially the mini pizza bites. The grilled marinated short ribs were so tender and juicy and incredibly flavorful! And the dirty potatoes were so tasty! The staff was so friendly and courteous to our guests! And Wendy was so flexible and easy to work with during our planning! I highly recommend Stemwinder for catering!Vegetarian options: Stemwinder also made sure we had plenty to eat for our gluten free and vegetarian guests!”
“Favorite Irish pub in Ludlow. Great food and atmosphere. Competition wings can't be beat. Always love to stop by KillarneyParking: Parking attendant on hand to help with parking. Might have to park at firehouse about a 2 minute walk.”
“A wonderful little spot with good serving sizes and gluten-free options. It's in a large parking lot, so not much scenery to stroll as you eat, but otherwise a perfectly lovely little place.”
“Impressive three-man operation, Great to see some old-school hands-on craft brewing - and on equipment with some Vermont brewing history to boot. Super friendly too!”
“This is 1 of 2 coffee shop in town, so you don’t have many options. With that being said, the coffee is okay and it’s over priced. They’re not transparent with pricing, so best to ask prior to ordering. I got a large flat white and it was 90% milk which was all I tasted. To the best of my understanding the larger you go in size, the more espresso you add but I think they give the same quantity of espresso for small or large so save your money and just get small. This place is a combination with a real estate firm, so getting any quality work done is difficult with others hovering over you to see listings. There’s plenty of spaces and area to place these listing ads away from tables. Not the best set up for the comfort of their coffee patrons. But if you’re looking for a caffeine kick at a late hour, this will be the spot since they close at 5pm.Kid-friendliness: It’s a coffee shop, kicks are welcomedWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, so it’s wheelchair friendly”
“It's dimly lit, with stamped metal ceiling tiles and pictures paying homage to the Godfather movie on the wall. Our server, Jess, was terrific - super fast, friendly and attentive even though there was a party of 14 in our section. The specials are written on a white board that is hilariously toted from table to table. Thankfully, we got to order our entrees while they were working on appetizers. Hubby ordered a tasty Upper Pass IPA, I had the glass of Terrazas Los Andes Malbec, which was fruity and full, and not too acidic. A big basket of rolls was brought out. Jess had to warn us that they were really hot. Who doesn't love hot fresh rolls served with a bowl full of butter whipped into clouds??! Salads weren't unique, but they were crisp, cold, and fresh. I ordered the haddock with crabmeat stuffing. The haddock was delicious, but I was hoping for more crabmeat - there was some under the breadcrumb top, just not a lot. Pro tip: keep the whipped butter on the table for your baked potato. Hubby got the Black Angus prime rib because, according to Jess, they don't have it every day - only when the prime rib flag is out front. I think only Fridays and Saturdays. It was tender and cooked very nicely. Hubby wasn't disappointed. The best dish was the daughter's Crispy 1/2 Duck - the skin, indeed was crackling crispy. It was served with cherries in a wine reduction, which my daughter didn't need or want with her meal, but my husband and I helped ourselves - they were yummy. We can't tell you about dessert because we didn't order any - we were stuffed. Everything was delicious and nicely done. Kudos to Jess and team!”
“The food, the friendly service, the quaint and charming interior. Everything about this place boasts comfortable, delicious, cozy and quintessential countryside Vermont coffee shop. I am so grateful to be a local because this place is an absolute gem.”
