“What a lovely place. What lovely people. What a deal. Maybe the last place in Vermont you can get lunch for under $20. A massive menu of options with some serious hidden technique buried throughout. I really can’t wait to go back for more.

“i took my son to Athens for the first time. The staff was super friendly. The food was delicious. The food came out hot and fairly quick. My son told the waitress he rates it a 5 star. She told the owner. He came out asked if he was Kaleb. He introduced himself and thanked him! We will deffinently be coming back!”

“We went to Burger Bar on a Sunday with a party of 15 people. Most of us had never been there before. We were so pleased with the food, the service & the prices. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, given that we had 15 people, and everything was correct. No doubt we'll be back!”

“Good local bar and restaurant at the end of main part of road at Mallets bay. Excellent weekend brunch, as well as the regular menu during the rest of the days. The staff is very friendly, and service is quick. The food is well done, seasoned well, and tasty.”

“I’m currently on a journey to sample as many Vermont Wine brands as possible and, as it stands, Hillis’ Sugarbush Farm is definitely the winning contender! I stopped by on a whim, unsure of what to expect, but I was NOT disappointed. Not only is their entire homegrown organic wine selection delicious, but Judy and Jim were a pleasure as well. If you’re looking for a unique, authentic Vermont wine experience and a story to tell your friends, definitely stop in! I followed the road signs to the vineyard near Niquette Bay, up the long driveway to the Sugar Shack. My car was greeted by two large friendly poodles (the dogs are apparently not usually outside to meet guests, but I guess it was my lucky day!). Judy and Jim welcomed me inside for a wine tasting; both are incredibly knowledgeable in the art of wine curation and have great stories to go along with each of their wines. After the wine tasting, Jim- who studied food science at UVM- invited me on a little tour of their vineyard and as I learned about the history of the vineyard, it became easy to see why the Hillis’ wines are a genuine labor of love. My favorite part of this entire experience was the educational component- learning about the land, grape varieties, the harvesting and fermenting process - right from the farmer’s themselves! I ultimately decided to buy the Marquette, Amelia Violet and Little Sister’s Revenge. Looking forward to sharing my vineyard adventure with my family at Thanksgiving this year!”

“I have been coming to this Starbucks since I was in high school and since then there is this guy that works there, I’m not sure his name but he has a mustache and always wears a hat. That man makes my day the second I see him. He always greets me, makes my drink perfectly every time and knows I want a straw with my drink before I even get there to pick it up. If you are reading this, thank you for making my mornings and you are truly the best!”

“Excellent food selection. TVs' are everywhere, great place to catch a game. Lori our server was nice. A little delay on some of our food. Interested in returning for the bowling or during football season.”

“I am a big fan of Chopsticks House II. They have all the classic American Chinese food favorites like sesame chicken and lo mein. They also have authentic tasting May Fun 米粉, julienne potatoes and ribs. I drive from Shelburne to get my Chinese food there. There are 10 Chinese places closer and I go there if that is saying anything.”

My favorite burger to get here is the Vermonter. Apples, bacon, maple BBQ. Cheddar cheese.

Rodeo Burger is also very good.

Sundays are half priced burger days. You cannot beat that price for what you get. This is a regular spot for us.”

“I don’t understand all of the hate for the employees. Sure they get busy, maybe a bit under staffed like every other restaurant but don’t blame the employees, contact the owner. And if you didn’t make a reservation don’t complain about what tables are available at the exact time you arrive, feel free to wait like everyone else who doesn’t share your sense of entitlement. I had dinner here 3 times this week, the food was consistent, cooked as I ordered and timely. I would think any glaring deficiencies would present themselves in 3 visits in one week, and I would be happy to share them if that was the case. I’ll be back next week and I’ll be sure to let you know if the exact table I want is not available immediately upon my arrival and I will certainly raise hell if there is any water on my table. The fact there is a response to every negative review should tell you something.”
