“Good local bar and restaurant at the end of main part of road at Mallets bay. Excellent weekend brunch, as well as the regular menu during the rest of the days. The staff is very friendly, and service is quick. The food is well done, seasoned well, and tasty.“

Can't take coupons at the bar unless there is a manager present, so that's annoying.It's an overpriced restaurant for the quality of food they serve but it's a game center so people will still buy. “I flew into Burlington VT for a teaching assignment and needed to set up some specialized equipment for the class at the Hilton. Being a little pressed for time and already past normal lunch time I decided to stop by the Beacon at the hotel. I usually prefer local dining but I made an exception and I am glad I did. I was met with two amazing young ladies, Blake and Alison,who steered me through the menu and made recommendations. I also noticed an airline pilot setting at the next table eating a burger. He said his meal was delicious so ordered some sort of quinoa and fresh spinach salad topped with salmon. The salmon was cooked just right and the flavors blended superbly. Thanks Blake and Alison for surprising me an excellent dining experience.“

“As far as dive bars go you can't get any better than ESOX.
You can see the entire crowd right from the door, free pool with purchase of drink, limited food selection but it's a sports bar not really a gastropub. $2 hot dogs and $1 single servings of chips, amazing mixed drinks, double shots, free fooseball with drink purchase, and amazing staff!!“

Pool table and outside seating in the back with tables, chairs, foot rests and even has a grill and horseshoes. Bartenders were very friendly and outgoing. The energy level this team has is like watching a well-orchestrated master piece. Each team member knew the thoughts of the others, the smiles always on their faces soon as you walk in and while you are here to the delivery of drinks and food and closing out the evening. Always helping each other with no complaints nor competitive angles or agendas just pure team work. This is a place we would love to have in our upcoming documentary. Solid drafts at good prices, bar never too packed to get a drink reasonably fast, and both Nathan and Shiva were wonderful karaoke hosts who kept things moving and were great performers themselves. Fun diverse crowd, too!“
