“My friend and I came up for a girl’s weekend and we loved it here! Comfy and cozy, and quiet too. The fireplace in the room was the icing on the cake! And they hand a wonderful breakfast buffet. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend coming here!”

“I cannot say enough about our experience at Carpenter and Main. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere is great - relaxing, attentive service but not overly so. The 4 of us enjoyed each others company without feeling rushed or interrupted. It was the feeling of being in someone’s home.

FOOD
We all ordered apps, mains and dessert. We don’t typically order dessert but when we saw it was homemade ice cream we had to try it. It did not disappoint. We all ordered different everything from each other - Bruschetta, Split pea soup (amazing), Artichokes for Apps. Scallops, risotto, duck, glass noodles with edamame and other veg for mains. The food was amazing. And I mean amazing.

Nate our server is a class act and made our overall experience one we want to repeat.

WINE ETC
The wine list was really good but I have to give props to Johnny the bartender. A talented bartender for sure and one of the reasons we’ll be back.

ATMOSPHERE
There are multiple rooms plus a bar area. The rooms are quieter but we wanted something less quiet so we asked to be moved to the bar area. We also wanted to be able to hear each other talk which was not an issue. We could enjoy the music which wasn’t too loud and hear each other comfortably.

“Such a great place. They offer pre-made meals for a quick grab and go at great prices. Also have cooking classes, a little store with their goods and products, and a great property to sit outside.”

“The soft pretzels with mustard dipping sauce were good. The french fries with aïoli were quite good as well. The French onion soup was well seasoned, caramelized onions without being overdone. The pesto pasta was quite flavorful without being overbearing. The flatbread margarita pizza was quite good with a balsamic reduction sauce on it. The Caesar salad dressing was adequate. They tolerated our kids well. The ice cream and sorbet seemed good as well. The vegetarian potstickers were quite flavorful and crispy.”

We ordered the lamb momo which were insanely addictive! We also got the calamari alongside as an appetizer which was very good. For our main we shared the goat and mushroom tarkari which tasted super fresh and had a perfect level of spice, so it paired well with our mango lassi.

“Four people with dramatically different ideas of what amazing food and drink is dined here for the first time recently and do not regret it. There is nothing we ordered that we didn’t absolutely love and it is a miracle that they are not closer to where we live or we would probably go broke eating there every meal…. “I had the pleasure of dining here while on a work trip. I sat outside to enjoy the amazing weather but the inside looked very welcoming. Welcomed with a smile from all of the staff. Gary was great at telling me about the dishes and a little Thyme history. Food was delightful, perfectly seasoned and fresh. Make sure you save room for dessert and if you didn’t like me and they have bread pudding grab one to go. You won’t be disappointed! Hope to see you next Thyme!!!”

“Food was five stars, service was 6. I had the Creole Chicken that was fantastic. Side of dirty rice which was very flavorful. Also beet salad which balanced everything out. My wife is gluten intolerant and they were helpful with that. Both desserts had gluten so the lady brought us some handmade dessert she had made and then her husband made us sliced strawberries with caramel. It was Valentine’s night and they just gave those to us to be nice. I highly recommend this place.

I didn’t get a chance to try their pattys but they also looked great and reminded me of all the pate I ate on St John. Great authentic food.”

“It's like going to someone's house and getting a home cooked meal. And fresh mango squeezed juice without extra sugar. And homemade habanero hot sauce. Creole chicken and jerk oxtail stew to round out the meal. Very delicious.”

“Loved this place. Went for brunch and ordered the fruit/scone and Sichuan green bean dishes. The fruit plate was a bit overpriced given the amount of fruit it included. But the scone was absolutely delicious. The Sichuan green beans dish w/noodles was amazing. I got the chili oil on the side and forgot to add it lol but the dish was great without it. I wish I had taken a picture because I couldn't find any pictures of it when I was looking and wasn't sure what to expect. But I highly recommend it.”
