“We spent the night at the Inn on the River three days before Christmas as a pre-holiday getaway. The dining experience was lovely highlighted by a lovely multi-purpose great room including a bar, seats by the fire and restaurant tables. We arrived at 4pm, had a cocktail by the fire and engaged in a lovely conversation with a couple from Long Island. We then moved to the bar where we watch the Steelers-Lions game while enjoying our second cocktail and a crab cake appetizer. Our evening was capped off by a delicious dinner -- steak frites for me and lobster ravioli for my husband. The vibe was vibrant and festive and the meal excellent. Service was also outstanding despite a waiter juggling many tables. We will definitely be back!“

“5 star hotels seem to always get the tiny details perfect. I brought a book of Robert Frost poems, they noticed and they left me a Robert Frost poem one evening. This place is truly a gem and makes for the perfect escape. Staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Food was amazing. What a wonderful place!“

“We stopped here as we were passing through and the food was so good. We split the maple bacon burger, and we both absolutely loved it. The maple and black raspberry twist was also delicious, but I think the maple was better. Would recommend.“

“Since 1999 we have enjoyed good food, beer, and service at Long Trail. Our most recent lunch was (as always) top notch. Matt took good care of us on a very busy day and our burgers and beers were excellent. Already looking forward to our next visit!“

“Hidden gem here! The seasonal cider was fantastic and even even offered a cinnamon rim to go with the pumpkin cider. My husband had the chicken sandwich and loved it, especially the maple Dijon mustard. I had the burger and loved it. The bacon jam and jalapeño cream cheese elevated it, and the use of a Portuguese muffin as a bun took it to another level. We were in town for one night and are so glad we went here.“

“OK – nobody’s probably going to believe this, but I am from Atlanta Georgia and was visiting Quechee with a few friends – I’ve been there before, but never been to the Skinny Pancake. I went in to get a latte to go and my friend just about crashed the car when I yelled “Oh my God” while drinking it in her passenger seat. She said, “what’s wrong?” and I said “nothing‘s wrong, everything’s right – this is the best latte I have had in years!!” And too bad we were on our way out of town!
