“We love Barrel Mountain Brewing beers, so it's been on our bucket list to visit the home of "No Bad Days" For a few years. We finally made it out and it was a unique experience. The decor is Grandpa's shed in the most endearing way - fishing poles, bike parts, and awards galore. The traditional wings were decent flavor and great meat but a little wet. The special flavor was Bloody Mary, and we love the drinks so we were excited, and they were disappointing. They were very soggy, with a think texture. The garlic rosemary fries were excellent! We'd absolutely cone again, the table next us had a BLT and a burger that looked and smelled amazing.“

“If you're looking for a great place to taste local craft beer, or want to try an inventive and tasty new cocktail, they have it ALL!! The food is fantastic, and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable to find the right fit for your tastebuds!I recently moved to the area, and have found myself there THREE times in the last couple of weeks already. There is always something new to try, and I'm sure I'll be making Northwood a regular staple of mine in my weekly outings.“

Victor 23 Brewing Brewpubs • $
2905 St Johns Blvd #3718, Vancouver - 11.01 miles

“The beer here is solid, although it’s usually a fairly predictable line up, not a ton of specials or trendy collabs like you might find at some of the bigger breweries. The DB Cooper theme is unique though and helps make up for what is otherwise a small neighborhood spot. When the weather is nice they do have a great patio to enjoy. While pizza and beer is not the most original combo (Vancouver may have maxed out its capacity in that regard), Victor 23 has a wining partnership here with Rally, which makes some of the best pizza in the area. Overall a great spot to enjoy a pint and share some pizza with friends.“

“Best Ruben I've ever had. I wish I had gotten the full size. Next time I'll ask for extra kraut. The tacos were unfortunately very bland. Missing spice and heat. The meat was cooked properly and the size was right. A little wet though for 1 tortilla. I had iced tea and I wish it was 5 times stronger and that I had been offered a refill. QR ordering from table. Not my favorite because I have a lot of food restrictions, and I don't understand the lack of customer interaction. I'm a bartender so I get it though. It's convenient. That being said, for me it's hard to give the customary 25% tip because, well... for what exactly? I tipped 20% and for the experience that was a lot. The bartender was not too chatty but nice enough. I would have liked 1 check it to see how the food was. Atmosphere was very chill on a weekday afternoon which is exciting for me. There were 6 or 7 mid age men. I was the only female, besides the one in the kitchen. She has a beautiful blue tiled wood fired pizza oven. That's pretty cool. There are Tv's with sports and various other things. I saw a huge projector screen on one wall. I'm looking forward to a nice chill weekday spot to play games. They have a pool table, corn hole, shuffleboard, hoops and board games. All indoors! They have trivia on Thursdays. I didn't see any signage about who puts it on so maybe self ran? It's got a bit of a pole barn feel inside but not cheap. There are regular dining tables and a lot of tall tables. I opted for the regular ones because I have short legs and they fall asleep. They only have tall tables near the games. The high ceilings were helpful in creating an open space. It's bright inside and they have outdoor seating. It's a parking lot so don't expect a view. The bathroom was my least favorite part and from the looks of the plastic sheeting for walls, it may be... I hope it is, under construction. They close relatively early so I don't imagine it gets too rowdy. I'm looking forward to going back.“

“Pizza is great. I have a few food intolerances and am able to build a pizza that works for me without pain later.Atmosphere is a little warehouse like for me but the games and events make it a great place for groups, families or singles. Oh and there is pinball and popcorn!Service has been mixed. We have been here multiple times, experiencing 4 star service and 2 star service. The number of customers and time of day has varied.“
