“Spacious fun place. I like the counter decor with the old school sandwich board and physical letters/numbers. Coffee was good, love it can get it in glass mug. Not exactly my flavor profile. Breakfast sandwich was very high quality. Baked good we tried was good. I liked this place, just felt like they were trying to do a little too much. Showed up in decor, food and drink choices. I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet

I'd definitely recommend this place-- next time it won't be on the whim of taking the wrong exit LOL!!

“all we got was the matcha ice cream and the black sesame and they were amazing! $5 for a large scoop that you could split between 2. If you love matcha definitely get the matcha ice cream but if you want to try something new i definitely recommend the black sesame ice cream!“

Great service and nice, authentic Eastern European food — Russian, Ukrainian, Caucasian, etc. I have to note that the staff are polite and friendly, make very good coffee, and always give helpful advice about the menu. There’s also a good selection of not overly sweet desserts.“

“found a little gem near work. this place has a great selection of lunch menu including burgers, pasta, soup and salad all freshly made. tried the dijon chicken pasta and i ended up licking the bowl clean.forgot to take pictures of the food but outside is a nice courtyard with apparent hatred towards corgis...“

“Not enough reviews for this place so here I go. Wonderful customer service, delicious coffee, and great breakfast sandwiches. Plus a cute spot overall. Too many cafes in the area don’t open early enough and this place was what my family and I needed while on vacation. Sadly my kids didn’t like the hot chocolate (they had a nutty flavor) but my husband and I thought those too were super good. Ended up going twice during our short stay. So many great sounding menu items and all the chocolates looked incredible.“

“I honestly don't exactly remember what I got here other than it was a baguette sandwich with salami, tomato, mozzarella cheese and some other stuff, but it was pretty good! I shouldn't have asked for the sandwich be toasted because the cheese wasn't melted at all amd was just warm. But I won't dock amy extra stars for that since it was a pre-packaged sandwich that had a pretty hefty block of cheese. Service was nice and fast, with a cozy and hipster atmosphere. “I didn’t try their coffee yet but wanted to take time to come here to shout out to one of the baristas (I didn’t catch her name). Went to buy a bottle of water when she mentioned the water I picked was sparkling (it wasn’t my intention). Also said, they had a free water station. I only wanted a cup of water. I was just being denied a cup of water at Starbucks next door after spending $$$ there over the years. This is a good reminder to try coffee from other brands than Starbucks!“

“I was happy that the restaurant is on the first floor of Main Street Flats. Enter the parking lot from Southeast 105th Avenue. Remember to give your license plate to the staff after parking. Parking is free for purchases over $15!🤓“

“After 1 year, they finally have steamed milk pudding again!!! I recommend getting some sort of topping with the milk tea, they're a bit plain without. Servers have always been helpful and upbeat. I also recommend trying a bubble waffle! The new banana milk one was pretty good.“

“Dont overlook Spring Cafe. This place is a hidden gem with the Best coffee in the area and a great menu. The staff is very friendly (family run) that always remembers you and greets you warmly with a smile. Very fast service but welcoming if you want to relax, work or just sip your coffee.

“Service was so fast, we love a Nordstrom restuarant for a family shopping day. They give thick kids crayons which makes all the difference if you have a toddler who colors with the strength of 7 men. That makes such a difference , good kids menu options. My beverage was so good and food was great. Always recommend“
