Tried the Shanghai fog - don’t think it has any caffeine in it but was delicious. It’s not overly sweet and had a soft creamy taste. Definitely one of the more successful variations on the London Fog

Lines can get pretty long on weekends and I think that’s mainly due to the fact that there is only one person at the cashier and the staff didn’t seem to be in any rush to get through the line. Worth a short wait if you’re in the neighborhood~“

I got a pickled carrot, cherry, baby lettuce salad with caraway dressing. It was GOOD! Super bright dressing, and all the elements just jived together. It was such a surprise.

I stopped in and ordered the creamy beet and apple soup and listen, this is not a “beets are controversial” situation. This is silky, slightly sweet, perfectly balanced, soul-warming goodness. Earthy without tasting like you’re hugging a root cellar. The apple brightens it up just enough, and the creaminess ties it all together like a cozy scarf you didn’t know you needed. Add the fresh bread and butter on the side and suddenly I’m rethinking all my life choices that didn’t involve this soup sooner.

And then there was my favorite companion: a matcha oat milk latte with orange zest. Clean, smooth matcha flavor, creamy oat milk, and that little citrus pop from the orange zest? Chef’s kiss. It’s the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and stare thoughtfully out a window like you’re in an indie film set in the Pacific Northwest. ☕🍊

“I absolutely love this place. Kickdown Cafe as a very cute little hole-in-the-wall business. The nice lady makes good food. The iced coffee is very tasty and they have a large verity of goods there. They even do massages and therapy. I really loved the service and the atmosphere. They accept volunteer work and will happily accept any extra help they can get. I would definitely recommend going here.Mondays through Fridays 10:00 - 17:00.“

The coffee at hemlock is no doubt the best cup of coffee in the downtown area and as somebody who is extremely picky about their coffee. Ive tried all the coffee places in downtown area all the way up to kitsap way. The only place I dont walk away with the regret of my purchase is Hemlock Grove. “I had an amazing sandwich from Yaygit. It was a couple months ago, but I still remember my visit fondly. I had a great chat with the owner (who made me the amazing sandwich!), and bought some of their dandelion chai powder to bring home with me. The sandwich was huge, full of tempeh, veggies, pink onions, and scrumptious bread. The dandelion chai is delightful, especially for cardamom lovers, it is spicy and rich. I love to have it with a creamy oat or cashew milk with a touch of sweetener. Yaygit feels comfortable when you walk in, and the people are very welcoming, I highly recommend you visit them soon!“
