“Located in a cozy street full of souvenir shops, wine tasting bars, local art, and museums, this bakery is a brisk 10min walk from the ferry port and a lovely spot to have a quick bite and a coffee. While there was a line, there was still lots of seating when I went around 8:30am on a Monday. Everything came out quickly and I enjoyed one of the best croissants I've had in a long time. The potato quiche was fluffy and hit the spot! I hope to be back again someday soon.“

“4.5 stars - overall reasonably priced with great food and atmosphere.Recommend:Softshell crabs - did a great job on keeping the crispness without infusing too much oilRib stew - tender and flavory. Used sweet potato instead of common potatoes. If the rice is less sticky, they’d be perfect together.-0.5 for the fried shrimp noodle — shrimps are fresh and chewy (in a good way) but I couldn’t taste the sea with that much seasoning. I understand the bak choy is a good balance for salty noodles and shrimps, but they don’t quite go together.“

“The chai was okay, but the pastries we got were so good. The cheesecake has a much thicker crust which I prefer and the flavors tasted like a crisp fall day. We also got the chocolate croissant and a blueberry muffin. All very good, and good value. Plentiful seating indoor and outdoor.“

“Emmy’s is and always will be my favorite place to eat! Great for dine in or take-out and has a huge array of amazing options! #13 is my go-to with #2 on the side. However, the rest of the options are just as yummy! Highly recommend eating here, it’s always the first stop I make when I’m back on Island!“

“4 stars good5 stars service4 stars atmosphereI visited earlier this year in March because my coworker raved about the food. I found the food to be good, but not anything to go crazy about. That said, the portion was huge and the takeout box was definitely at capacity. I’m taking away a point for atmosphere because they weren’t open for dine in…not sure about now. I live in Seattle and would come back if I was in the area though it doesn’t warrant it’s own trip back.Parking: Big open lot shared with gas station. I doubt you’ll have issues!“

“Possibly my favorite pizza place in the Seattle area. Always make a stop here when visiting the island. It tends to be busy but we’ve never had a long wait and the staff are always great. As for the food, everything I’ve had has been stellar. The staples, like the Margherita D.O.C. are always winners but don’t sleep on the seasonal pizzas. Last time we had an asparagus and ramps pizza that I would literally murder for. So good.“

“Simply the best. Delights from scones , breads to die for to focaccia and pies galore. All artisan. One French woman that frequents the Port Angeles farmers market on Saturdays says it the best bread she’s ever had outside of France. What else can you say!“

“Hard to beat the patio seats they offer, right next to Eagle Harbor. Lunch entrees are a good value—plentiful serving, tasty flavors. Our server was exceptional: fast, courteous, and unflappable despite being the only person on lunch duty.“

“This place is a hidden gem! If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese flavors that burst with freshness, look no further. Everything I tried tasted like the ingredients were just picked from the garden. The pho was a revelation. The broth was clean, fragrant, and oh-so-flavorful. You could tell they slow-cooked it for hours, and the depth of flavor was incredible. But what really took it over the top were the toppings. The vegetables were crisp and vibrant, and the herbs were so fresh they practically perked up the entire dish. The yellow curry was equally impressive. The vegetables maintained a perfect bite, and the curry itself was rich and flavorful without being heavy. And let's not forget the banh mi sandwiches! The bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, the perfect vessel for the explosion of fresh flavors within. The pickled vegetables added a delightful tang, the pate was creamy and delicious, and the protein (I had the grilled beef) was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.Overall, this restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Vietnamese dining experience on the island. The focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients truly shines through in every dish.“

“Nice restaurant, great location and service. The waiters are friendly and helpful. We ordered fried calamari, grilled salmon, and tacos. The portion of the salmon was a little small but the creamy beet sauce and baby carrots were so delicious.I will visit it again.“
“Husband and I did a day trip to Bainbridge and found ourselves hungry for some lunch when I found Jake's Pickup on Yelp. This eatery is located in a gas station, but don't let that deter you. Lots of parking outside and plenty of shaded picnic table seating. Inside, the eatery is located in the corner with a menu of to-order items. They also have a fridge stocked with grab and go items and a pastry window with cookies and scones. Order at the counter, then pay at the gas station till. We decided to order 2 OMC's off their menu. The friendly cashier suggested we add Jake's homemade hot sauce to our sandwiches, which turned out to be a beautiful addition to the sandwich. To my understanding, everything here is made from scratch by Jake, including the buns. The sandwich was super fresh and the hot sauce added a lovely smokiness. We also enjoyed a scone and a cookie, both of which were fresh but okay as sugar was the predominant flavor. I found myself wishing for some flaky sea salt on my cookie to balance the sweetness. All-in-all we will definitely be back on another Bainbridge visit to try more menu items.“

“Great place for a coffee and pastry on a Sunday morning on the island. Almond croissant was great, but the raspberry oat bar was the bomb!!Parking: Ease of parking, just drove in and there were plenty of spots in the lot as well as on the street.“

“Best oysters I have ever had! Super fresh and well prepared. The food came out quick for a Friday evening, service was exceptional even though the place filled up while we were there. The Mac and cheese with crab in it was delicious as well. The salmon fish and chips were good but not our favorite of the night. Would 100% eat here again!“

“Had the shwarma style sandwich with tarragon apple relish and it was excellent! Some of the most pleasant, fluffiest foccacia was a perfect contrast to the very flavorful and very crispy beef. Had a great sweet potato soup as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in town!“
