“TLDR; super long and slow lines, really nice pastries. When we got here (9.30am), the line probably had 7-8 groups ahead of us, and it took us about 20 minutes to get to the front. I got the savory croissant which was overall pretty quite nice. Unfortunately it felt a bit oily (not buttery) to me - I let it sit in the paper bag for a couple hours, after which it was perfect since the bag soaked up all the extra oil/butter.“

“Food: 5/5 best croissant/pastries I've had in Seattle Coffee: 5/5 best cold brew we've had Price: 4/5 Service: 4/5 (only bc there's often a lot of people) BEST pastries and croissants of all bakeries I've been to in Seattle (and I've been to a lot). It's the exact right texture, flakiness, butter, and size - closest to French croissants you can get in Seattle. Great espresso drinks and some of the best cold brew we've had as well in Seattle. Runners up include L'Experience on Mercer Island (though it's a little pricey) and Baked Flours in Beacon Hill. The only downside is sometimes it's crowded (probably bc it's so good) so you might have to just go in and out. But the coffee and pastries are really second to none and we also pick up their in-house made unique preserves on occasion which are wonderful! Their Burien location is much larger with more inventory of jams, coffee, etc you can buy and space to sit down. We just don't make it out there often but it's a great location.“

“Continuing my food tour of the PNW, Saboteur Bakery has been coined the best bakery in the Kingston Area. It is tucked away in a small shop in Bremerton downtown. I was skeptical because I am a little bit of bakery connoisseur. I was not disappointed by the expectations that were set for me. This bakery was popping when I arrived due to heavy foot traffic. The almond croissant was literally warm when I purchased it. The frangipane onto was perfectly crisped and topped with the toasted almonds was balanced with the soft inside filling. The pear brioche danish was just as good because the crackling on the sides also matched with the soft inside to give the pastry texture. Both of the pastries were well worth the drive and I would be willing to go again. The reason that I took one star off is because I was slightly disappointed with the choice of pastries. I had heard that weekly there is a special bakery item that they keep in the fridge (this is only available on the weekends). I was disappointed that there was no way that I could have known in advance to drive there on Saturday instead of Friday. Maybe I am not aware of something that locals are?“

“I want to give a major shout out to Angela, her mom, and the entire team at Cake Studio Panaderia Mexicana off of Viking Way in Poulsbo. They went above and beyond to help me put my Valentine's Day plan into action and create an incredible memorable experience for my wife that I am very grateful for. This year I got a head start on Valentine's Day and set a plan in motion a few weeks back. I reached out to our local Mexican panaderia in Poulsbo, to see if they could help me craft a bouquet of flowers filled with fresh Mexican conchas. If you don't know what a concha is, that's okay. It's a sweet bread that is perfect with coffee. My wife loves them so much she even has earrings of them.Angela at Cake Studios Panaderia, was just as excited as I was to put this idea in motion. The morning of Valentine's Day, I dropped off several bouquets that she and her mom then crafted with freshly made conches tailored to color match from their bakery into this outstanding concha flower arrangement. My wife had no idea what I was bringing back to her and she kept her eyes closed and when she opened them the surprise was fantastic. I'm happy I remembered capture on camera.Thank you Angela and the amazing team at Cake Studio Panaderia Mexicana for making such a delightful Valentine's Day possible.“

“Super great baked goodies here, but the shop itself is almost never open, since I guess they're primarily just a caterer. Everything I've ever got here has always been a huge hit at our house.Man, that time I brought home cinnamon rolls from here, I was practically getting begged to pick up more cinnamon rolls nearly daily for the month after that. That said, I'm in the mall a couple times a week and I think I've only seen this place open for walk-ins maybe five times ever out of the probably hundred times I've been to the mall. It's not really the fault of the people that run the shop, they're just really busy with catering jobs, and it's kind of a downside of the mall being run by more indie shops that don't really make enough to justify having strict hours.“

“I had the most delicious items here recently. I over indulged and it was more than a cheat day but it was worth the million and ten calories. My family and I shared a number of things one early morning. We shared: sausage and egg croissant, blood orange ricotta croissant, salted caramel macaron, a matcha strawberry croissant, toffee croissant and a ham and cheese croissant. This and 3 drinks, about $50 or so. It was worth every penny and then some. I had to go back in an buy a few of their croissant x space needle stickers to commemorate our visit. I'd love to bring my Mom here. She'd love the tiny town feel and the warmth of the sun against her cheek as we'd dine al fresco with my little one. I don't know how to accurately describe to you what I tasted. The ricotta and blood orange combo sounded so nicely and delicately balanced to me, and it was. The ricotta was plentiful and the blood orange wasn't overly sweet or sour. It was just the right amount of "pow." I wouldn't have minded it more tart either but it was so good. The croissant was a bit dark but that just told me that the butter was plentiful and it was baked so beautifully, removed just in time. I think the ricotta x blood orange croissant impressed me and so I didn't think that there would have been anything else amongst all that we ordered that could have topped it but I was wrong. The matcha x strawberry croissant was fantastic. The amount of strawberry that was in there and the matcha creme. I wish I could find something like that here, in Los Angeles. if there is something like that, that exists in southern CA, I hope I can find it. Or, I hope someone will let me know where I can find such a masterpiece. I love that they are constantly putting out new pieces but also that once they run out of something, they are out. It isn't like they are defrosting anything in the back. I wish this bakery were near me but it's probably best that it isn't. I would have spent a huge fortune here already. I cannot wait to come back. Parking: free street parking, no lot that I saw No inside seating but plenty of tables along the sidewalk Payment: I used cash“

It's definitely rich enough that two people can share one dessert! I just wish there were more non-chocolatey desserts for people who don't like super rich chocolate. It is European style desserts so they aren’t overly sugary and thick, which I personally prefer since you are able to taste the flavors rather than just the sugar. No matter what you get, it will always feel light and fluffy and not too dense! My go-to has been their pear tart! It has such a good texture and spice in it and their cakes are also good! “This is a spectacular bakery that serves both sweet and savory pastries that will knock your socks off. There's no picture attached to this review because once I started my first bite I wasn't emotionally available to put it down. We ordered a raspberry danish type of pastry, and another with a flakier crust and caramelized onion with mushroom filling. The crusts were flavorful and wonderfully textured as well. I'm baffled that this place doesn't have lines out the door. Although we took our order to go, I'm certainly going to come back and enjoy the sitting area. It had a warm, vintage sensation that made me want to get comfortable, settle in with my London Fog, and read while looking out the spacious windows. Really it reminded me of the feeling I used to get when visiting my grandmothers house - it may seem a little fancy at first blush, but overall it is a cozy and welcoming space. The sweet woman who runs the place was so kind and made my drink extra hot to survive the walk home in the cold wind outside. I'm also 90% sure she's making these pastries by hand. She sent us on our way with a "stay safe" and a small smile. Wonderful experience!“
