“Great coffee and incredible brownie! I'm usually a latte drinker but decided to be open to a Costa Rican pour over with cream no sugar. It was great! I couldn't resist getting a special espresso brownie with marshmallow and yummy peanut butter chocolate something special. I asked for it to be cut in 3 pieces to slow me from devouring it but only 1/3 made it all the way home! Delicious ?!! Great service from someone that cares about the quality of their coffee and their treats! Thank you!“

“Simply the best. Delights from scones , breads to die for to focaccia and pies galore. All artisan. One French woman that frequents the Port Angeles farmers market on Saturdays says it the best bread she’s ever had outside of France. What else can you say!“

“Get here before it even opens, they sell out super fast. They have good sweets but I am in love with their savory breakfast items, the egg croissant is addicting! The croissants are very buttery and made amazingly, I would come here just for those. It's definitely somewhere you go to pick up breakfast since the inside of the bakery isn't designed to be in for long, I didn't see anywhere to sit down there, but I don't count this as a negative.“

They have a small but competitively priced selection of other grocery items in addition to the discounted bread, cookies, muffins, etc. They even have a rewards stamp card that can earn a stamp per $10 spent, a full punch card getting 5 items off the back wall. “I was expecting this place to be so much better. I’m not saying it’s bad but my biggest complaint is that the pies were not even close to being hot enough. I knew these were not going to be made from start to finish at order but they were barely warm. If that aspect changed I’d probably go back but until I hear from someone else I need my food HOT!“

“This is my go-to place for morning coffee and a treat with friends - whether we are just talking or playing cards - or alone while reading or paying bills or Journaling it is delightful. The outside seating out back is half covered and half uncovered with individual table umbrellas. I really appreciate the outdoor heaters and blankets for cooler days.

Vegetarian options: They have so many vegetarian pastries and breads, clearly marked and with knowledgeable staff if you have any questions.

Dietary restrictions: I'm vegan and allergic to wheat, so there aren't many options for food - but they have an amazing oat and raspberry bar and a trail mix cookie that avoid both my allergens. And they are super yummy“

“I have been buying their pastries from a few of the farmers markets around town for over two years and I have never been disappointed. It is European style desserts so they aren’t overly sugary and thick, which I personally prefer since you are able to taste the flavors rather than just the sugar. No matter what you get, it will always feel light and fluffy and not too dense!My go-to has been their pear tart! It has such a good texture and spice in it and their cakes are also good! Definitely recommend this place or their stalls at the Farmer’s Markets in Ballard or Cap Hill!!“

“I love that you can get sweet or savory pastries here because so many Seattle cafes don't have food that feels like a substantial breakfast. I really love the mushroom pastries and all of the different fruit kolaches. Consistently get the best iced lattes from here with lots of options and the staff is always super friendly and wonderful!!“

“I think about this place all. the. time. I try every seasonal/monthly menu item the first chance I get. I am often the first customer of the day when I go because I’m that excited. The staff are super kind and friendly and I always feel welcome. Yes the molten cakes are the main attraction but when I can I will take a slice of cake or something to go because I have yet to have something I haven’t absolutely loved. Clearly there is pure wizardry at work here because these desserts are nothing short of magical.

“La Copa has the best coffee in the area. Their staff understands the science and art of pulling espresso shots and their machine is calibrated properly so your drink is well made. They have a nice variety of food options made on premises and everything is delicious. Our favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge and yummy), the coffee cakes (flavors rotate), GF banana bread w/ chips, the danishes, the marzuka bars, the cookies, and the turkey pesto panini. The owners and staff are hard-working and kind. They care about their locals and the newbies. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You deserve it!“

The baristas who have served me have been very nice. I live in the CD and love to meet friends who live in West Seattle at Uptown Espresso. My go-to beverage is a Chocolate Americano. It was delicious! I asked the baristas what type of chocolate they use and it's a dark chocolate from France. Can't recall the name, but it add richness and depth to the taste of their already delicious coffee. ☕“
