About Pico Cafe and Bakery

Pico Cafe, nestled within Picolino's restaurant, is a cozy neighborhood spot that offers a welcoming atmosphere. This cafe is a favorite among locals, known for its delicious coffee, pastries, and baked goods. It serves Lighthouse Coffee, which is well-loved among Seattle roasters. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making it a great place to relax or catch up with friends.

The outdoor seating area is a charming highlight, featuring both covered and uncovered spaces with individual table umbrellas. The outdoor heaters and blankets provide comfort on cooler days, making it a delightful spot for morning coffee or a treat, whether alone or with friends.

Pico Cafe provides many vegetarian options, clearly marked for convenience, and has special offerings for those with dietary restrictions, such as an amazing oat and raspberry bar and a trail mix cookie that cater to vegan and wheat-free needs.

The food is praised for its quality, with reasonable prices and a peaceful garden area at the back that allows for quiet conversations. The pastries are considered some of the best in Ballard, and the lunch menu, particularly the sandwiches, is also highly recommended. Freshly made bread is available daily, enhancing the cafe's appeal. While the drink options are decent, the lattes stand out, and there's ample seating both indoors and outdoors, creating a cozy vibe throughout. Though it can get busy, there's typically little to no wait, making it a beloved spot in the neighborhood.

You may well title this cafe as a hidden gem. The location and ambience is amazing! Both pastry, coffee and atmosphere are all equally phenomenal. The strawberry and rhubarb tart was simply outstanding, with its fresh dough clearly made from scratch.

The chocolate banana bread was delicious!

Cute spot for coffee and treats just beside their full restaurant. Mainly bakery items plus little quiche etc. Curbside tables for a European style al fresco morning beverage.
