“Wonderful community cafe thats tucked away in a charming little corner of Eastlake.

5 stars because they are putting in the hard work. Locally owned, locally operated, and community focused. They put in the effort to bring people together with fun little events AND by being a coffee shop that stays open long enough to enjoy a comfy happy hour on their outside seating.

What they do well: Community.

What they struggle with (Sometimes): Espresso. I know it seems crazy to give 5 stars and then be critical of their espresso. But its just the way it is. I believe they use Lighthouse Roasters (local to seattle) and I don't know if its the roast, the beans, or the machine. But the espresso can be subpar on occasion.

But still worth the visit.“

“Amazing gelato and an even better experience! The owner was incredibly kind and let the three of us taste every flavor while explaining how they’re made. The flavors taste so natural—you can really sense the real fruit in them. It was also heartwarming to see him teaching his daughter to scoop gelato. Highly recommend!“

“A small cafe that specializes in non-alcoholic spirits, craft coffee, and absolutely lovely bakery and small bites. The atmosphere is welcoming and adult. Around the side by the bus bins there are a few thematic coloring books and pencils, origami instructions and paper, and freely available water. I thoroughly enjoyed myself finishing the coloring page of a Chinese herb. The food influences seem primarily German and Asian. I recommend for someone who loves food or beverage exploration, or for friends looking for someplace to feel both homey and fancy.“

“We absolutely LOVE the Seattle Meowtropolitan!! My 8 year old and I have been visiting regularly for more than a year now and we‘ve bonded with all the amazing kitties! Everyone who works and volunteers here is so kind as well. The kitty-themed drinks and kitty macaroons are all delicious too! And the cat-inspired decorations—even in the restrooms—are wonderful! It’s a kitty paradise for all the cats and humans who visit. :) We highly recommend everyone who loves cats visits this magical place!“

“We came in yesterday with a group of 12 women from our book club, and the owner was incredibly accommodating and kind. The food was healthy, fresh, and full of flavor, which is so refreshing in a world of overly processed “fast food.” I had the warm honey cardamom tea (so cozy!), the cauliflower appetizer, and took the grilled chicken bowl home to share with my husband. The owner even surprised us with a coconut whipped cream dessert, which was such a sweet touch. One of the staff members (I wish I had gotten his name!) was so patient and helpful while I asked a ton of questions about recommendations. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another book club meetup and more visits in between!“

“Noon Cafe is truly a gem. I’ve visited a couple of times in person, and I’ve also ordered delivery, and every experience has been excellent.

From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm, genuine customer service that makes you feel valued and comfortable. The staff are attentive, kind, and always ready to help with a smile.

“While we unfortunately don't live in state and get to enjoy the stores in person, we have been purchasing from Zulus online for over 4 years now and we have always had a positive experience with them. This last order I had placed was no different on their end, had an issue with a pricey package being marked as delivered and misdelivered multiple times by UPS over the course of 2 weeks, back and forth getting nowhere and Zulus customer support was so helpful all along the way. “This is one of my favorite places and Seattle. Easily. If you like sandwiches, then you should definitely come here. They compete with Fortuna and - in my opinion - exceed Fortuna (largely because of portion; you just get more bang for your buck here). We’ve had almost every sandwich available from Hushy’s. The Turkey is a clear winner (its combo of salty, somewhat smokey and tanginess lets it stand out). Our next favorite is a tie between the mortadella and the (fried) fish sandwich. You really can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches. Two things I’d point out:

1) The Japanese beef curry sandwich is too salty
2) The sandwiches are expensive (but one sandwich can easily feed two)

Oh and the atmosphere is dope. Just take a look for yourself. This place deserves 5 stars.“

“Love the coffee and the atmosphere. Customer service is unfortunately lacking at times. They messed up a Doordash order (ordered a traditional and they completely forgot the milk. Literally just a mostly-empty cup with a shot of espresso in it), and we've been unable to contact them about it, as they don't answer the phone and their voicemail is full. We'll still buy from them, but this isn't a great look.“

“Stone Way Cafe was one of those spots I followed on Instagram long before I finally got the chance to visit. Known for their breakfast burritos, I made my way there on a sunny Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. It was easy to find free street parking just a few blocks away, but as expected, there was already a line of 15+ people out the door. It’s clear the staff have a solid process down, because we only had to wait about 15 mins for our order.

My friend and I each ordered the sausage breakfast burrito, a side of potatoes, a matcha oat milk latte, and their special coconut cold brew. The burritos were generously sized and packed with flavor. We didn't realize they already came with potatoes inside, so the extra side of potatoes ended up being a bit much which was good to know for next time. Towards the end, my burrito was pretty oily but that makes sense since it was sausage. Both drinks were solid, but nothing to write home about.

I really appreciated that the restaurant offered a variety of hot sauces -- sriracha, Valentino's, and Tapatío -- which is essential for me when it comes to breakfast. Prices were fair for Seattle, especially considering the portion sizes and quality. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot year-round.

Next time I'm in the area, I'd love to swing by for lunch -- their other food and drink items looked just as tempting!“

“I’ve been to at least 50 different coffee shops in Seattle, this is the best all around. Amazing coffee, amazing people, amazing seating options, so cozy and warm and wonderful. Just delightful all around. Never had a bad experience and I’m here every weekend now.

Edit to add: I hadn’t tried their food until yesterday and WOW. That veggie bowl seems simple but WOWOWOWOW. Delicious“

“La Copa has the best coffee in the area. Their staff understands the science and art of pulling espresso shots and their machine is calibrated properly so your drink is well made. They have a nice variety of food options made on premises and everything is delicious. Our favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge and yummy), the coffee cakes (flavors rotate), GF banana bread w/ chips, the danishes, the marzuka bars, the cookies, and the turkey pesto panini. “I used to live in the Juanita neighborhood of Kirkland. Now that I live in Shoreline, I don't get over much. If I need a latte or a place to write, I don't think about driving around the lake. The other day, I got an invitation to come over and meet someone. When I turned up Central, I remembered how much fun downtown Kirkland is. So many interesting places to visit and nary a chain retail business in sight.
One of the downsides of Kirkland is parking. I considered one of the bijillion paid spots, but I managed to find a 2 hour free spot not too far away from the coffee shop. I'm told that these spots have monitoring equipment to enforce the time limit. I was there for a little over the 2 hours with no ticket, so I don't know how true that is.
Thruline was busy, but not full. We found a table where we put our things to claim it while we went to the counter to order. I was happy to pay $11 for a latte and a breve.
Many of the customers are loyal regulars. My friend was greeted by name and several folks matched pictures on the wall. I asked how much coffee you had to drink to get a picture. Apparently, that information is a secret, as I was given vague non-responses.
When our name was called, I went up to fetch our drinks. They came in real mugs. I think coffee tastes better in a mug than in a cup. I like to think it is better for the environment too.
I admired the little heart in the foam and took a sip. Pretty tasty.
I have a hard time hearing in a crowded coffee shop. The noise level was not terrible, but I did miss a bit of our conversation.
People seem to like to hang out. During the couple of hours we were there, I did not notice the people around us changing. Several folks had their laptops out, so it might be a good place to get some writing done. If I ever move back to Kirkland, I'd enjoy being a regular here.“
