“Good BBQ but the prices have increased . Today's service was extra slow. They were filling the take-out orders and making the people in line wait. If it was a couple minutes it would not have been such a big deal. But the person in front of me waited 5 minutes and then I waited 5 minutes. So it took an extra 10 minutes just to get my order in. Not sure what the answer is but it doesn't feel right to make the walk in customers to wait so long.“

“The food is great I'm a huge fan of the couple that are in charge there, some times I wish they could put a more inviting atmosphere in front of there business but because of the neighborhood it would be hard to do that, I am happy to have them and love visiting weekly

“Let me tell you, this food truck isn't just serving up lunch, it's serving up an experience! The minute I walked up to The Pit (parked right there in the Ashwood Taps parking lot), I could smell the smoky goodness wafting through the air. It turns out, that smell was coming straight from the heart and soul of this operation - the owner himself!
This guy's a barbecue evangelist. He talked about his BBQ like it was a family heirloom (which, by the way, it sounds like it is!), and his brisket with the reverence of a seasoned sommelier describing a fine wine. And let me tell you, the passion translated to the plate in a big way.
I've ordered the brisket, smoked sausage, pulled pork sandwich, and mac and cheese with brisket, and every single thing was phenomenal. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection - tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The sauce was smoky, sweet, and had a nice little kick. It was clear that every bite was made with love and dedication.
This isn't just a place to grab a quick bite. It's a place to connect with some seriously good BBQ and an owner who truly cares about his craft. Do yourself a favor and track down The Pit. You won't regret it!“
