“Was able to get an early reservation for a Saturday. We visited with another family who recommended the Coal Chute. Parking was easy. Park anywhere in front or side of what looked to be a converted house to restaurant.Service was good and attentive. We were seated in the front dining area and it was too noisy even at capacity. Food didn’t take as long as expected since we’re expecting to wait since that was what the other reviews stated. It was nice that they had a kids menu. The food was good. Fresh and hot. Only negatives were a fry burger probably due to being part buffalo and slightly on the pricey side for being in Roslyn. We did end up with a lot of fries since everything came with them. I did appreciate the option of show string fries and thick fries and being able to sub for salad, soup, or sweet potato fries. I’d recommend the thick fries.Overall, it was a nice meal with friends and service was always there when you needed.Dietary restrictions: They checked with kitchen to verify ingredients since we had a child with food allergies.Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu.“
“I spent the night in Cle Elum last night, just passing through. On my way out this morning I was in dire need of coffee. But that's pretty much every morning.Not knowing the area, I had originally planned to stop at another coffee shop that should listed first. But I saw this place, and decided to change plans at the last minute.They open early, I was there at maybe 6:02 and they were already ready to go.They have a wide variety of coffee products, flavors, and even various foods. I just wanted coffee, so my order was pretty quick and easy.The staff was really pleasant and friendly, very chatty but still fast and efficient.Prices were very reasonable, about what you'd pay at any other coffee place.The coffee was really, really good. Some of the better coffee I've had.I definitely recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in Cle Elum. Whether you live there, visit there, or like me or just passing through, you can definitely get yourself some pretty darn good coffee here.“
“Its so cool to know this was the town that the television show "Northern Exposure! was filmed! Renamed "Sicily Alaska" for the show....the opening credits show the painting on the wall "Roslyn's cafe"!Joel Fleischman's pickup truck was often seen driving down Pennsylvania Ave. during the series!“
“It’s l so so good! Get a jam pot from the pasty selection for sure, if they have one. The food is all delicious, you can’t go wrong. The service is friendly and kind. Everything is great quality, from the brand of coffee they use to the jam for the bread. The toast and sweet potato hash are both really Idelicious! I could go on and on, we love everything we get here and come multiple times when we are in town.“
