The Sunset Cafe Reviews
Oh my gosh, my husband and I went in and had their prime rib dinner last night. It is one of the best we have had in years.
Do you wish to pay 108$ for pure disappointment, boy are you in for a treat, look no further!
What joys does it bring when you order a 35$ prime rib steak on the Friday special, which is oddly the exact same cost that it is the other 6 days of the week when its not on the special, but picture this... this 35$ cut of prime rib is so lack luster that the slices of turkey in a hungry man meal would absolutely dominate the size of this steak!
But thats not the best...read full review
We stopped for dinner after a long day, nobody would serve us. The gave us menus and never returned. We waited a good 15-20 minutes and left finding the two young servers standing in the back room doing nothing but talking.

The Sunset Cafe offers a lodge atmosphere with cheery service and delicious American food. Their oatmeal is exceptional with dates, raisins, cherries, blueberries, and almond shavings. The complimentary bread melts in your mouth. The French and local meat, freshly made bread, and friendly staff make it a must-visit spot in Cle Elum for a delightful dining experience. The restaurant also features a casual setting with surprisingly good options for burgers, made from a blend of top round, chuck roll, prime rib, and prime sirloin from a local butcher. Housemade pies are available in many varieties, including a delicious mint crème pie. Many customers enjoy dishes like 16oz prime rib, expertly cooked and served with sides like Caesar salad and baked potato. The salmon dinner with rice pilaf and grilled vegetables is highly recommended, especially the perfectly grilled veggies and crispy salmon skin. The side minestrone soup is loaded with goodies and tastes scratch-made. The place also offers non-alcoholic beer, and their baked goods, including coconut cream pie, look fantastic. Everything is fresh and well-prepared, making Sunset Cafe a place that consistently serves great food, aiming to please every guest. Visitors have praised the friendly and attentive staff, quick service, and the quality of breakfast options, especially the sausages and pancakes with berry syrups. The restaurant’s cozy, roadside diner vibe adds to its charm, making it a hidden gem for hearty and delicious meals.
