“We found ourselves in Hood River and looking for a place we could enjoy some local ciders. Crush Cider Café was it! The service was friendly and welcoming, the selection of ciders was large with something for everyone's tastes, and everything we sampled was delicious. We ended up leaving with a 6-pack of ciders canned on site with our favorites. Their tacos were phenomenal, and the warm house made corn tortillas were fantastic. We dined outside and the patio was cozy. Definitely make this a stop when you are in Hood River if you are looking to try a wide variety of ciders and enjoy delicious food!”

“From the very first time we visited Édeske, we fell in love with their desserts and knew they would be part of our wedding one day. Tamara, James, and their team went above and beyond, crafting a stunning dessert table, our wedding cake, and brunch pastries for the weekend. The assortment of macarons, petit fours, tartlets, and choux buns was curated to reflect both our personal favorites and beloved classics, all while feeling refined, elevated, and reimagined. Our wedding cake was a visual masterpiece and a symphony of flavor and texture. Édeske brought such creativity and care to every detail, and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

“Friendly space with good beer and cider”
“This is our family’s favorite winery in all of Oregon and Washington. Woman owned, progressive, queer and trans supportive, earthy. We visit in all seasons and are always comfortable. Amazing view. Great blankets if you’re sitting outside or cozy up around there for pit. Inside is cozy and artful. The wind is amazing and their tapas are paired well and also very good! The winemakers are often serving and full of great stories about the process.”

“We are so happy we chose Amy for our wedding. The dessert table was a huge hit! From the first consultation to the final delivery, they were professional, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. And the desserts? Pure perfection. Every bite was more delicious than the last. She was so accommodating with my Gluten Free allergy and the variety was fantastic, the flavors were rich and authentic. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants to impress their guests with both a stunning display and incredible taste.”

“Place is highly rated for a reason. Delish! Best fish tacos I've had in a long time. Carne asada tacos, plus sides of rice (very tasty, moist) and beans. Off to Jackson Park to eat!”
“Believe me, I've been to more wineries than I can count. Hands down, South Hill has the best views. They were also able to accommodate our group of 8 on very short notice. I will definitely get the word out, because I hadn't even known about this winery before this weekend. Looking forward to returning when I am in the area. For reference, it's appx 15 minutes from Hood River across the bridge.”
“HIDDEN GEM! We stopped by to get some gas in Hood River and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had a coffee shop inside! Taylor helped me. She was so friendly and fast! She really lived up to the saying on your cup, "coffee made with heart and served with a smile " Thanks for the great service! I had an iced horseshoe latte with white mocha and drizzle. It was delicious! Sweet as desired, but with a good balance of milk and coffee. I will definitely keep this place in mind when passing through this area again!”

“The best! Marvelous authentic flavors. Fresh meats, cabbage, avocado, homemade hot sauce and beverages. Wonderful staff! Reasonable prices. Great daily specials: enchiladas, tamales.”
“Beer is great. Had the Belgian Strong Dark - really good, strong flavor. Ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich - not very spicy, kind of saucy (in an uninteresting way), and not enough Cole slaw; side salad was lettuce with caeser dressing, which in a garnish not a salad...
Service was great.”

“Stumbled on this place a few years ago on a trip to Hood River. Hard to find if you don't know about it. Great beers on tap, probably the best Pale Ale I've had. Always love a place where you can chat with the owner or head brewer. Great place to grab one or two on your way down to the river.”

“Pine Street Bakery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/15/22, I stopped in Hood River, Oregon to check out Pine Street Bakery. Owner Megan Davis’s mother started Grand Central Bakery in Seattle, Washington in 1972. Today, there are 11 locations between Portland and Seattle. If you ever have an opportunity to visit a Grand Central Bakery/Café, I recommend it. I wanted to try one of their famous Cardamom Knots, which are Challah dough slathered in Vanilla Butter, covered in Cardamom Sugar and tied in a Knot. Unfortunately, they were out. I got a Carrot Cake cupcake ($5), which is one of their best sellers, as well as a Maddie Cake cupcake ($5). The Maddie Cake cupcake is a seasonal cupcake that changes with some regularity. The current Maddie Cake cupcake is Peaches & Cream. It is Vanilla cake filled with Peach compote made from local peaches, topped with a Vanilla Swiss Meringue Butter cream frosting. I enjoyed both cupcakes but my favorite of the two was the Maddie Cupcake because it was so unique. There was a generous amount of peach compote in the center of the cupcake, as well as on top. The compote had great flavor. Both cupcakes were fairly dense but moist. In addition to the baked goods and breads, Pine Street Bakery has Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee menus, as well as specials. They also sell a lot of other products and fresh flowers. Highly Recommended!!!”

“I've been here a few times now. This is my favorite bakery I've found on the Fruit Loop so far. I love their strawberry and huckleberry cinnamon rolls, and 2/3 of the cookies I've tried have been great. The third (tart cherry) had way too much baking powder, but honestly, that kind of error once in a while just helps prove they're homemade. They have over a dozen creative flavors of cookies, three or four kinds of cinnamon rolls, and a few varieties of empanadas. The cinnamon rolls and empanadas are currently mix and match 3/$15, or $6 each. If you're camping and happen to have a cast iron pie press, I highly recommend reheating the cinnamon rolls this way. I also tried their non alcoholic honeycrisp cider, and was so happy with it. It's at least as good as my favorite cider from my favorite farm at Apple Hill back home. Aside from having great pastries and cider, Packer Orchards also sells all kinds of local jams and homemade ice creams. They always have a plethora of local dips, sauces, and condiments out to sample. They also have some custom made Instagram photo ops out in their orchards. The girls who work here are all super friendly. Love this place.”

“They're fast, friendly, and will make your beverage exactly the way it needs to be made!! Notice I didn't say the way you want it to be made.... That's because after you tell them what you want, they go above and beyond to make a drink you'll appreciate for about 10 to 15 minutes as you slurp every drop you can from the cup you're handed!!! They take your idea and turn it into an art form!!! They know what they're doing, so sit back, relax, and let them make something you'll definitely enjoy!! I say kudos to the staff at this Dutch Bro's!! They're amazing, and now my new routine and morning stop whilst I head to my daily grind!!! Love this place!!!”

“Quaint cafe and hotel in an old school. The cafe has great vegetarian options and tea as well as coffee. Be aware there are a lot of steps from the parking lot to the cafe.”
