Came in for a beer because everyone (including my AirBnB host) recommended Toby's. I love the small bar / local clientele style of Toby's. Everyone was very nice and I spoke to a few of the locals about the bar and their favorite things to do in the area.I'm giving 4/5 only because it took so long to get acknowledged so that I could order my beer. They did not debeard the mussels. I mentioned it to someone and he gave me the run around claiming that the mussel farm has a machine that does it, and it must still be broken.I have worked in kitchens for 10 years, where i have been ordering mussels from Penn Cove. You clean and debeard your own mussels. There is simply no excuse for this. I had to reach into the shell and do it myself before eating. Gross.
