“If you haven’t been to Battles Kitchen yet… run, don’t walk. I swear, I’ve tried something new every single time we’ve gone, and every time I leave wondering why we didn’t find this place sooner. The owner? Absolute gem of a human. The food? Straight up from another planet. So far I’ve had the crawfish boil, seafood boil, Cajun tenders, shrimp po’ boy, lemon cake, banana pudding, peach cobbler, lemon pepper wings, and beignets and every single bite has been perfection. I would gladly go broke buying dinner and dessert here every day if I could. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are 100% missing out. They never disappoint. Ever.”

“I stopped in tonight and ordered the “1890” single burger, and it absolutely hit the spot. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked, with fresh toppings and a soft, toasted bun. The curly fries were crispy and golden, and the ranch dip paired perfectly with them. Service was excellent as always, friendly, prompt, and attentive without being overbearing. This place never disappoints, whether you’re just grabbing a casual bite or meeting up with friends for a relaxing evening. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. Great food, great people, and a laid-back atmosphere that keeps me coming back!”

“Their service is good and so is their coffee. But I did barf up the mocha that I had yesterday. I ordered a mocha with three espresso shots. I deduced that something in it wasn't right and caused my stomach to react. But I've been to Wood's before and I usually enjoy their coffee and their shop's ambience. Good option to go to besides other popular names🙂👍🏻”

“We came for our yearly little ladies trip and found this little place. We all agreed that it was the best clam chowder we ever tasted. The fish and chips were amazing also, but that clam chowder… WOW! The owner makes it fresh every day. The owner and staff are very friendly. If you have any questions or concerns about visiting this little business, put them aside and know and give it a try, you will not regret it.”

“First experience was last Friday after work. Nice and clean space! Friendly guy at the counter. Picked up their crunchy chicken sando, few pieces of chicken with fries, and a strawberry milkshake, which does contain real strawberries. It was all good 😊

The chicken isn't so oily nor too salty. It has a good flavour and crispy texture, same with the fries. Crunchy chicken sando has some tasty pickled veggies in it and a nice amount of sauce. The strawberry milkshake was just right, not overly sweet.”

“This is the third time we have had food from here. We especially enjoy the fish pakora and now also the fish and chips. The fish is moist, flavourful and very generous servings. The batter on the fish for fish and chips is light, crispy, not greesy allowing for the natural flavourl of the fish to come thru. In addition to the piece of fish being large thick pieces that remind you of slicing a steak, the chips are crispy and light. To our surprise and delight the meal also included a bowl of delicious gravy for dipping and tartar sauce. All for $15 each meal. I ordered Chi tea, the best ever and I have had a lot. So I highly recommend ordering from Mother India. We will definitely be going back to try more dishes.”

“My wife and I booked ahead for a lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our lunch was at 1pm on a sunny Wednesday. We were met at the door by hostess staff Sofia and Malyka who were very friendly and helpful. There are two main seating areas, indoor & outdoor. The temperature was hot and thankfully the outdoor area is covered with patio umbrellas that provided shade but did not intrude on the views or ambiance. Indeed the outdoor ambiance is quite nice with a view to the east and the vineyards. We were seated at a lovely table that made the most of the views. Our server was Rylan who provided good reliable service. The menu provides a selection of French-oriented dishes that should please most palates. I started with the Bacchus Salad which was excellent. Fresh, tasty and a great way to start the dining experience. My main dish was the Duck Leg Confit. A respectable portion, cooked to perfection. Delicious. My wife ordered the wine which I believe was a Pinot Noir which went well (almost too well!) with the food dishes. It was a superb lunch that combined great food, wine, atmosphere and of course company. I would definitely recommend a visit.”
