“The Tap Room is a warm, welcoming pub in the heart of beautiful downtown Steilacoom. It features microbrews and an atmosphere that is conducive to small group gatherings like a book club meeting, Scrabble night with friends, potlucks with your neighbors, etc. Nona is very accommodating and occasionally opens her lovely pub for private parties. “We just got here from the east coast and we're looking for somewhere on the water with a good menu. Both of those things are true. We mentioned as we were sat that it was our first time on the west coast and everyone was super nice to us. The manager was kind and our server spent extra time with us telling us what there was to do in the area. Great food, great location, great service! ?“
“I'm biased so I'll be simple. The atmosphere is great to enjoy a game, have a drink and eat amazing food. I love their breakfast, I'm a biscuits and gravy guy and they have the best around. “Lake City Pub is a great local spot. I was first alerted to the pub via a social media suggestion post. I was so surprised and impressed to read that they only carry local (as in Pierce County only) beers and ciders on tap. We enjoyed an amazing lunch. The hubby had the Cherry smoked meatloaf that was also wrapped in bacon. The meal was served over mashed potatoes and with a side of seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were braised Brussels sprouts. I had the Ruben sandwich and substituted the clam chowder for the chips. The chowder was flavorful and had ample clams. It was thinner than a typical chowder, but the flavor was on point. The Ruben was one of the best I have ever had. I was pleased to find thick slices of tender corned beef brisket on my sandwich. The sauerkraut, dressing, and cheese balanced the whole thing. We followed lunch with a slice of chocolate mousse cake. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly. Our water was always full. We will definitely be back.Parking: There is some parking in front of the building and a gravel lot to the left side of the building.“

“This is now my favorite Mexican food, their servers had great recommendations and we tried some dishes I would have never experienced without the server telling us about them. My favorite thing about this place is actually the rice and beans. That may sound weird, but they actually season both which is Hugh, because most places rice and beans are bland. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.“
