“What a great find! We live in CA but visit relatives frequently. I'm not sure how we've never come across this place before!
Parkway Tavern checks all the boxes — great beer selection, delicious food, good music, and a really cool neighborhood atmosphere. It's tucked right into the middle of a residential neighborhood and feels like a true local spot.
The French dip was excellent. The roast beef was perfectly grilled, flavorful and tender, and the sandwich was really well done.
Bonus - the bathrooms were super clean!
Great food, great beer, ambiance, location and music. Definitely worth going a few miles out of your way!“

“I went with friends and liked it more than I expected to. The vibe was comfortable, not too loud, not too fancy, and honestly that balance is harder to find than it should be. It was easy to sit, have drinks, talk for a while, and not feel rushed, which made it a great girls night option. Go when everybody wants to go out but nobody wants chaos.“

“My friend introduced me to this place yesterday. I never thought in a million years I’d like dipping chips (homemade too) in garlic ranch dressing, but it was delicious. Their French Dip with au jus was scrumptious as well; almost as good as having one in NY. Also, they have awesome garlic fries, they use fresh minced garlic. They even make their mozzarella sticks from scratch. Thanks to my friend, I’ll definitely have to take my family here, yum! 🙉 We had an awesome waitress, very attentive. I guess if you’re a first timer, they let you try their homemade chips for free; it was nice of her to tell me that. Thank you to Shimicka, for making this picky NYers first time dining in, a great experience. I’ll definitely be bringing my family here to try their food.“

“Never have I ever been charged $3.50 for a screwdriver because omg I’ve paid at LEAST $6 anywhere else. I was so delighted I tipped $3 on one drink!! Strong drinks, good vibes, if you are a young woman though, don’t go in alone unless you’re okay with getting hit on by the wonderfully ancient regulars.❤️ My boyfriend and I will definitely be going again.“

“I got a Cheesesteak here and am from an hour away from Philly and it was good and I'm a big critic and expert on such things. The bartender I bought it from was nice and pretty hot too not going to lie. The owner is a weird man though who basically was acting like fixing a broken down car is against the law and like he needed to call the police because I was having a hard time with it so I just pushed it to a different place and finished it there. Not going to factor that into this review or I'd give it 1 star instead of 5.“

“If you pay with cash make sure you count the change give back to you!! Gave the bar tender a hundred, asked her to recount handed me a twenty? She new !!! That might fly at midnight ? but not first thing in the morning .“
“It's a great hole-in-the-wall kind of place. It's not huge, it's a little older, but it's all part of the charm. It really makes it work. I enjoyed the time that I had there. The beer is cold. The whisky is actually quite affordable compared to everything around. They have some really good bottles, which again you don't expect in more of a neighborhood bar, but it works.“

“My grandpa used 2 take us here for br re aghast some 35 years ago. But I had such a good time last night dping some karaoke with my friends for his berfday. Crystal was awesome and super nice about dealing with my bike. Food was great LOVE the ranch SO GOOD. The drinks must have been great becuase my buddies were having to much of a good time. “Great atmosphere here, the 2 ladies there were very friendly and funny. I had the typical breakfast eggs, hash browns, bacon and a stack of pancakes topped with whipped cream and strawberries. My husband had a burger with tots. Food was your typical diner food. I also enjoyed the photos there. Will definitely be back!“

“The building itself is so interesting and worth the trip there, but we were unhappy with the service. We had to wait way too long for our food and one order was the wrong sandwich. We chose not to send it back because we already had waited far longer than expected, but this one was more expensive and no offer of any compensation. We will not be returning soon.“

“We had a family dinner in the pub followed by a self-guided tour of the whole building. Our server was attentive and accurate in taking our orders. The food was excellent. I think what stands out is what an incredibly complex, historic and quaint structure this is, and how wonderfully McMenamin's has repurposed it to serve the public. Our experience was memorable.“

“I come here from out of town from time to time for a couple of beers and something to eat. The service and the food are outstanding for me. I don't mingle or sing karaoke, but it seems like everybody has a lot of fun. The staff that work here are great.“

Atmosphere was clean and smelled good. Many TVs. They have the Sunday Ticket during football season. Large selection of pull tabs. Comfortable, sturdy seating.“
