“went to the SO tonight for the first time. I'll be honest, I've lived in Whatcom for 25+ years and had never been, but ALWAYS have wanted to go. I've been missing out. This place has the best hot pastrami sandwich I've ever had. Hands down. my bf got the eggplant marinara sandy and it was just as delicious. The clam chowder.........OH MY LANTA!!!!!!! Best clam chowder I've ever had as well. And the lady working the window (I think the owner) was SOOOOOO NICE! I will be back as often as my tummy and my wallet allow!“

“we tried Avenue Bread as part of the Amazing Co's Mystery Picnic. We enjoyed a delicious salad with cheese candied walnuts, avocados and bacon with a wonderful dressing and homemade bread. It was a wonderful treat and we loved every bite!“

“We had a lovely breakfast here around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. It was bustling but we didn't have to wait for a seat. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and bus your own table, so it's a little more casual. I had scrambled eggs, and I chose black beans and avocado as my mix ins. It was heavenly. The toast and jam were good too. My partner really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. The food came out pretty quickly. Plenty of vegetarian options.

My boyfriend has been fed up with other sandwich shops hardly putting any meat on their sandwiches, but this sandwich was PACKED! Our order wasn't ready when we arrived, which was totally fine, the guy was working alone and looked like he had several online orders.
