“Listen, I’m a sucker for a hole-in-the-wall spot for a sandwich and a cup of coffee, but Joe’s is more than that to me. I’ve been coming here regularly for 5 years to hide from the world and quietly munch food. I’ve brought clients, coworkers, and friends here, eaten everything from omelettes and pancakes to BLTs and salads. It’s always great, it’s always fast, and it’s always friendly. They know me here and that’s enough for me, Joe’s is excellent.“

“I’ve been going to this Jersey Mike’s a out once a week for about 7 or 8 months. 9/10 times, they get everything perfect, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding. A week or so I went in, realized I misread a coupon, and they still honored it and took care of me. They even went as far as to clue me in on a separate promotion they were running and allowed me to take advantage of it. Great service, wonderful staff, and amazing subs. They are definitely a sub above.“

“Stopped in on a whim, we were headed to Arby's...but had never tried Jimmy-Johns. So we went for it. What a surprise...The staff inside were awesome young people. They were actually happy at their job, the place was spotless, super attentive, polite without it feeling artificial...wow, it was really cool to feel good about sitting in a sandwich shop as goofy retired folks, and yet feel special. I had gone without my contact lenses, and they provided me with 3 different versions of a menu so I could pick what helped me see it the best. Thank you to this Fife store for the helpful workers, I felt very comfortable eating at your place that evening.“

“Stopped by here today to get my lunch and was actually happy with this Subway sandwich location. I read the previous experiences and had a lot of those at many of their other locations but this one was good. Right amount of meat, cheese and veggies and not overboard with the sauces. I will admit that pricing has gone through the roof for most fast food type businesses. It was $15 for a footlong sub, I can recall the prices being about $5 cheaper not that long ago. When companies get too high in cost the end result is usually the collapse of the business. I'm only giving it until the end of the year before deciding if Subway will remain as 1 of my lunchtime meal places.“

“Stopped here to find a lotus energy drink and got lucky!!! They had a few options to choose from and all sounded very tasty! I got the "Glow Up" Coconut, Blue Raspberry, Blue Lotus Energy Drink with Coconut Milk! Tasted very good!!! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, lots of tables and chairs. Relaxing, chill space. Lots of cider drinks to choose from as well as some food options. Very clean and tidy and would go here again if I'm in the area!“

“Tacoma just got its own Parisian jam-bon shop via Seattle. First thing that stood out: these are NOT your average American deli sandwiches. We’re talking European-style sophistication… paper thin-sliced meats, decadent butter studded with flaky salt crystals, crusty baguette, and cheese with just the right amount of sharpness. My jaw got a workout in the best way.

I began with the Ham & Butter… sounds basic, but the simplicity made this sandwich perfection. Since that was so good I had to give the Citadine a try and it didn’t disappoint either. It had turkey, bacon, sweet onion jam, kale-hazelnut pesto. Every bite was a different flavor note doing its own thing while magically working in perfect harmony.

Finally, I finished with the Apple & Arugula salad (hazelnuts, garrotxa cheese, carrot & cabbage, apple cider vinaigrette). Refreshing, well-balanced, exactly what one wants after a satisfying meal… Oh, and I almost forgot the rye chocolate chip cookie!!! My gawd.

The entire time I was eating, I’m thinking “this reminds me of Le Pichet” (the beloved French bistro near Pike Place). Turns out the owner, Dave Cooper, actually worked there. He took that same French inspiration and planted it in downtown Tacoma, and honestly… I will love him forever for doing that.
