“I’m from Dallas, TX and have had a hard time finding true southern BBQ in this entire state! Except Pete’s! Now, I’ve had great smoked brisket and other great smoked culinary experiences, but this one is the most Southern. What I mean is that the coleslaw is excellent with a medium shred, not too large or chopped too small, and an even amount of dressing. The sweet cornbread muffins with honey-butter straight from cast-iron are amazing. The pickle slices are even a culinary delight, sitting next to raw onions and a plethora of BBQ sauces to choose from. Oh, and free ice-cream cones if you even have room left to fill (we did not, lol). I could go on about the sweet tea, baked beans, slow-smoked ribs, shredded smoked pork, sausage, chicken, and desserts but…Just bring your appetite and try it for y’all’s selves! ;)“

“HOLY MOLY! It was a place we didn't expect to find, but so glad we did! What looks like an unassuming hole-in-the-wall place turned out to be the best BBQ I've ever had. Amazing customer service, with food that was so flavorful that just the aromas has me salivating. I had the Smoked Salmon Dip with Citrus Au Jus, while my husband had the Caveman Half Chicken meal, with potato salad and baked beans. Their beans? ABSOLUTE. PERFECTION. “Friendly place with the best roast duck. You will be a roast duck snob if you try other places. Only problem is sometimes they're out if you go there too late. Then you might have to go down the street where they don't know how to cut a duck and it's not that good. If you do, at least grab some of Megastar's secret sauce as it helps!“
