“I had taken a big break from ordering from Jersey Mikes, but last week I decided to give it another go and 2 guys were working named Diego and Travis I think. Wow their customer service was amazing and Diego’s wonderful and peppy attitude was contagious! Made a damn good sandwich as well. Those guys make picking up take out fun.
I hope those young dudes continue to keep the good vibes going, I’ll gladly be back for more sandwiches. Hopefully I figure out how to use the app better, very helpful guys. Thanks again!“

“Anjelika is an incredibly friendly and polite person who pays attention to every detail of your sandwich, always with a smile and a warm, casual conversation. We absolutely adore her—especially my son, because she always remembers exactly how he likes his sandwich! 😊
We’ve visited a couple of times when she wasn’t there, and we missed her cheerful presence. **But today, she was back—and seeing her again made my son’s day!“
“Stopped at this place while on our way to the big four ice caves. The guy generously filled our footlong sandwich. Footlong was less than $10 which is a reasonable price as compared to Seattle area subways. Person working there was on Bluetooth all the time but I don't mind it.“

“Great service! I had no issues with spicy but it was too hot for my wife (I had the bacon and she had blue cheese burger). They are both dripping with sauce, which I liked but some folks aren't partial to that. The seating is limited to three small tables inside if you come during cold months. There is outdoor seating when it's warm.“

“Tucked away on a side street, this place is easy to overlook with all the fast food places in the area. There's no signage from the main street, or even on the sidewalk. The only way to tell it's there, the front facing sign of a submarine that's says sub shop.
I only stumbled upon it while walking a new route, but I'm sure glad I did!
The owner was a very nice gentleman who clearly had seen the changes of the times in that area and seemed extremely happy to share a piece of history with me. As I was reading the signs of his accomplishments, I saw they had been open 40 years now!
Before he even came out to greet me, I knew that a shop that hidden away with only 1 man running the show doesn't stay in business that long if he's bad at what he does.
Big point of note here, he is cash only. I had $13.50 on me which net me a turkey and ham sub with a can of coke.
Point of note, there's no prices I saw on most of the items. I honestly couldn't tell you what things cost here. When he asked how much I had, I told him the amount and he looked at it for a moment and then decided on what I was going to order for me based on that. 🤷♂️ Trust. Who am I to question a man who's run the game this long?
So I sit at the lonely square table that was kind of crooked as to compensate for the interior design and wait in anticipation to find out what I'm even getting. I'm used to at least having a size chart for my fluctuating hunger and poverty levels.
While making the sub we talk about his wall of masks from various cultures. Opposite of that, clocks. He joked that people always think he's an antique store seller which... Yep I could see that. But honestly it was cool, gave the place a very homelike quirky vibe that I really dug.
Finally the sub comes out and I see... Well... A sub. I worked at Quiznos for many years, I know a sandwich and from the outside, I can say it legally met all criteria of that which would define it as a sub.
This was all of the cash I had on me which meant I was now walking 3 miles to my house instead of taking the bus so it better be at LEAST on par with subway which... C'mon, not hard lol.
It didn't seem like much, until I bit into it. Holy hell, I don't know what combination of ingredients he used but clearly you don't stay in business 40 years without knowing at least a couple secrets to your craft.
It was extremely light, like the bread was SOFT soft. Chewing a cloud soft. Didn't fall apart in transit like you'd expect though. Everything he uses is fresh, never been frozen. Idk if he's got butcher connections or what but I'm not gonna question the claim, I was in sandwich bliss.
Originally he had recommended the house special, the #15 to me. He was really excited about that one but I was a bit short. Instead all I got was a basic turkey and ham and even that didn't disappoint. I'm looking forward to the next time I have a $20 on me to see where it goes from here!“
