“This is a review from 20 years ago when me and my dad were at Ft. Lewis. This Chicken Bowl spot was the absolute best I ever had and the Korean grandma was an absolute sweetheart tried to teach me a little bit Korean as well.

The most memorable part of this place was the Teriyaki sauce. It was sweet, but not teeth aching, it was savory with hoisin, umami fermented flavor, and it wasn’t so bold and rich that overwhelmed the grilled chicken and rice combo.

It is a core memory for me and will never forget the taste of it until I die. My only regret is not buying a gallon of the stuff from them as a kid lol!!“

“Went here with a friend and had my regular delicious meal of Chicken Katsu Curry. This meal is amazing no matter what location you go to. This location was super busy the whole time we dined in. The only downside was they had generic Sriracha packets instead of authentic Sriracha bottles like other locations, which are far superior. Thanks for the great service.“

“Our favorite place now! My order: Unagi (nigiri), Vegetable Tempura, Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Special. Dad's oder: Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Special and 5 order of maguro to go. The unagi was the best i have had in over 10 years. The tempura was light, crunchy and flavorful. My Dad is very particular about food and I am known to order the same item over and over. “I am a connoisseur of Mexican cuisine and my home I always fry my shells thanks to my Orpilla family but recently I have been on a crunchy taco kick and my friend showed up and brought me out to Tacoma and we had a hard time finding a place that was open because it's Easter so he took me to Mazatlan on South Tacoma Way and it is amazing in here. Right now they are giving my prior experience a run for its money this place is awesome!!“

“If you’re craving legit Filipino food, Paraiso Filipino Resto is worth the trip. I had the sizzling sisig, halo-halo, and a couple of combo meals, and honestly, I left happy and full. The sisig came out still sizzling (and tasting amazing), just the way it should be. The halo-halo reminded me of the ones back home — traditional, not overdone, and really good. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the flavors hit the spot. On top of that, the owner was so much fun to talk to — super friendly with great customer service. You really feel welcome here. Highly recommend if you want that authentic Filipino taste without hopping on a plane going to Cali.“

“I had the Mongolian beef/Chicken teriyaki for lunch and both were good! The service was decent, nothing fancy, but solid for a small hole-in-the-wall spot. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but if you’re already next door doing laundry, it’s worth grabbing a bite.“

“Best pho spot in town! I’m asian and grew up eating homemade pho all the time, I know what good pho is, have tried several pho spots and this spot is the best! I love their seafood pho, came with lots of variety of seafood (shrimp, squid, fish meatballs, imitation crab) and their prices are good as well. My mom got the combination pho bowl that came with all meats and there was a generous portion of meat as well. People always mention how the service is non-existent and it’s true they don’t come up and check on you or anything but it’s more of a you go up to the counter and ask for whatever you need type of thing. I love this place, the pho, the food 10/10!“

“Nice atmosphere, appealing food presentation, friendly staff. Minus one star because the portions are WAY bigger than they need to be. My husband ordered a bento box and was able to finish less than half of it. I got a single roll and had to force down the last two pieces. Smaller portions with decreased price options would’ve made the overall experience more enjoyable, as we could have left satisfied rather than stuffed.

If you’re looking for a large, filling meal, then by all means 5 stars! It just didn’t match our personal expectations/needs on that front. :)“

“Just finished lunch! We got the family sized meal, meatballs, potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans, shells and cheese and amazing applesauce. Service was great and the food was AMAZING. Everything is made fresh, real food but fast!“

“The staff are great. They're friendly, quick, and make good quality Pizzas. Goes a long way towards justifying the expense.

The only thing I don't recommend is the new Cheesey Stuffed Crust. The cheese is a flat layer inside the crust and adds nothing flavor wise.“
