“I’ve been to many sushi spots, spanning from Seattle to Los Angeles to New York to Japan. Hands down, without needing to take a trip to Tokyo, this is the best sushi spot. If pizza is about the dough, sushi is about the rice and this place hits different. You won’t be disappointed.“

“I consider myself a connoisseur of spicy chicken teriyaki and a side of gyoza. I'm a simple man with simple culinary needs. Himitsu is my go-to now when I grow that particular itch. The spice is just right, the chicken is selected and cooked right, and the rice is never too wet or dry. The portions are just perfect for a growing boy like me. The guy who answers the phone is the guy behind the counter. He's curt and professional, a touch difficult to get a laugh out of, but I don't hold that against him. They always get my order right.“

They also didn't give teriyaki sauce to put on your rice. The food was just alright, for what I spent ($15) There's plenty of better teriyaki places in Kent.“

“I've been eating at Kami Teriyaki for years, and it's my go-to place for General Tao's Chicken and other dishes. So tasty!

Yes, like all restaurants their prices have skyrocketed and portion sizes aren't huge, but that's pretty normal everywhere now so I can't fault them for it. They solved the parking problem for pick-up, which is great (there are reserved spots for their restaurant).

Last I checked they switched sauces for their spicy chicken teriyaki and the new sauce isn't good, but all of their other food is great.“

“Have been going to this place for quite a while now and I'm Never going back!! I went in there and got my family dinner and spent around $75.00 dollars well a time after that I went and spent almost $60 i got home to eat and my rice right along with my husband's the rice was hard not even cooked all the way. I called and a young guy answered the phone I told him and he asked me my name and he said that he will write my name in the book to replace my meal. So I go another time to try and get it plus ordered side items like potstickers and other items I told the lady that my name was in the book and she played dum! So last night after 4 I reorder it and went to pick it up and a different guy told me it will be $22 and some change and told me that they don't have a book with my name in it and he didn't even ask me my name!! SMH I think they should stand behind what they said! I will diffently not be going there ever again“

The other night I was dog-sitting in the area and ordered the Western Burger with fries (I highly recommend the fries here, they are delightfully crispy.) Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! The food was bomb, every bite was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put real heart into every dish.

But what truly sets this place apart is the service. I dropped my fork, and I kid you not, not even a second later, the lady brought me a new one — without me even asking! She was so on point it blew my mind.

She also makes conversation with every single customer, and not in a fake or forced way, she’s genuinely warm and makes you feel like family. It’s rare to see service like that these days.

“My friend orders from here all the time and we decided we get some take out. I got a big bento box with beef teriyaki and chicken breast teriyaki. This is the best teriyaki I have ever had!! Now, any other place just pales in comparison. Both the beef and the chicken teriyaki were perfect, tender with just the right amount of sauce. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the meat is covered in sauce, but not drowning in sauce. There was enough food for 4 meals on that platter and it was as enjoyable reheated as it was fresh. I will be eating here again and again!“

“We love Trapper's a bit pricey but well worth it. Only complaint I have is we ordered the teryiaki chicken tonight with some Sushi rolls. The teryiaki chicken was very bland had not taste to it. 🤔😒“
